Next line please, bonus if you can get the utterer (not in all cases):
- Sixteen tons and what do you get?
- Hey now, you better listen to me every one of you …
- There’ll be bluebirds over the white cliffs of dover …
- Underneath the lantern, by the barrack gate …
- The sun on the meadow is summery warm …
- When this old world starts getting me down …
Q1 Another day older and deeper in debt.
Q3 Tomorrow; just you wait and see.
Q4 The words that I know are not suitable for your ears, James. The song is Lilly Marlane (Sp?)
I don’t know the more modern songs.

JH: You did well. German song.
6. And people are to much for me to face
Dad got to N1 before me, the whipper snapper!
……
JH: Well done, ma’am. 2 is Roy Orbison, 5 is from Cabaret.
Try These
Oh yes…I should have known those…especially 5.
Seeing ‘that’ film …well…I understood certain things of course, like WW2, but a lot was over my head and also the sexual innuendo, which was in blatant ( blatant innuendo 🤔) confused me. I think I may have been 17…naive. I was so naive I didn’t know I was naive! ( How many times can you say naive in a comment?)
My friend and I attended because we were convinced by all of the PR it had. We thought we were such theater/people, but not nerdy. Of course we were wrong on both assumptions.
My parents had no idea what that film included. A year later 18 and legal…for what? Still, a year makes a big difference. I was still pretty naive a year later and therefore nerdy!
Maybe a year or two before we saw Romeo and Juliet with those pretty British youths! Oh my gracious! We saw bits and they were in bed! We blushed! And blushed!
