a) In the middle of the night, shortly after 3 a.m. on September 22, a police patrol stopped near the Massy-Palaiseau train station as a crowd gathered. In the center, a completely naked man attacked a young woman who pushed him away.

b) President Trump displayed a chart of the level of tariffs the U.S. is charged by other nations and what the U.S. will now be charging them.

c) Le Pen ‘dug her own grave’ by allowing Macron ally to take over France’s Constitutional Council.

d) At just 29, Jordan Bardella inherits the French ‘far-right’ spotlight, whether he’s ready or not.

1. Stages of understanding

a. If I approach it from this angle below, it’s because my bkgd has long been in clearing sidetracks to misunderstanding, well before the actual teaching started … plus every so often along the way … and everyone who’s discovered something should at least be heard … unless it’s something such as Wokery, which is sheer psy-ops on people at vulnerable ages and in certain lines of work.

b. There also must be spaces for this to be done, this “hearing space” … at the moment blogs are best, with comments sections, because the printed word stays there longer. A very mixed bag is the vlog because it is essentially someone droning on and on and on, quite convinced he’s the depository of wisdom on the topic … or at least his angle is the key angle and y’all should just shut up and listen. Podcasts can be good where two or more add their thang but they still drone on for an hour, maybe longer.

c. Attitude plays a key role here … in fact a crucial role … and unfortunately, the ferreters, the diggers, those who go down rabbit holes and discover, tend to be alpha or sigma, gung ho and they have little time to stop and heed other people’s material, particularly if they perceive that source to be highly focused in his own direction, along the lines of his own hobbyhorses … such a one as Stephen K Bannon, who is most certainly annoying, in that he follows this maxim:

… and only lets someone get a word in as long as he’s ready after his monologue … and that word must be Bannonword.

d. And there, in c, is a major barrier to understanding … our attitude towards the news bringer him/herself and our attachment to our own sacred cows. As it happens, from where I sit, those “first 33 minutes” in comments under Wed 15 post speak truth all the way … but Bannon almost kills any advances as he refuses to let others speak freely. Trump is also a bull at a gate … my way or the highway. Just as bad at times is the “here’s my latest, using my fave source … take it or leave it, no skin off my nose”.

e. Which is not to say that the soft, gentle type such as “Stinky” in Dressed to Kill (Wed Mat) is much better … just as obstinate against other realities, as he smiles that closed, sympathetic smile upon Holmes and his curious warnings … Stinky is first bashed but still does not cotton on … and then he’s dead. The little man‘s whole world is fine objets d’art, he cannot conceptualise a big bad world where others visit physical violence upon him within his own sanctuary. The motif ran through Callan as well.

f. It takes a very special nature … and/or else a person of wide experience with thousands of snippets able to be accessed … and a certain humility … to be able to start to fit all the pieces together but then, if he opens his offering with “The TRUTH about, just shut up for an hour and listen to me, my way, at my leisure” … that’s enough for so many of us to just skip over or click out … particularly if it’s as long as this post item or longer.

g. You do see the dilemma, before we get anywhere near really developing a comprehensive, realistic overview. And within that 33 minutes our Steve refers to, under Wed 15 … if you can stand Bannon’s manner, sit through it … then various sacred cows are going to be sacrificed … not least being that the “brass” of western countries have been sacrificing the common people for a long time … I myself begin in 1910 on Jeckyl Island. We know the pap we’re fed through the MSM and all key “influencers” we come up against is just that … pap … but we only know it too late, e.g. the truths the NYT is now finally prepared to divulge … to save themselves. …/END.

    • Bannon does annoy. Too many interruptions, and that “listen to me” attitude is grating. Without him it’s hard to see how Trump would have won. Yes I said that. Overall though Bannon is so in your face our poor old English sensibilities can’t take it. Wish we had someone like him over here – with a West Country accent of course 🙂

      ……

JH: West Country accent … natch.
