Be very careful when stating objections to a cashless economy. | https://news.stv.tv/world/cashless-society-drives-drop-in-children-swallowing-coins-researchers-say | You might be accused of wanting children to die. The lengths to which they will go to ‘nudge’ us get sillier and sillier.

Hmmmm … if you take that in conjunction with this:

… it does appear the Donald camp is taking the fear of losing the majority seriously … a good thing.

16. As a veteran Dearieme hunter, I found this

… over at Churchmouse’s:

“I do have one question about Corbyn. He was accused of being anti-semitic. I dare say he is. But when accusers cited his words to prove their case I saw only anti-Israeli (or if you prefer anti-Zionist) rants: I saw nothing actually anti-semitic.

My question is “why?” I mean, you can point at some actions which might certainly be described as anti-semitic e.g. his behaviour at a commemoration for the terrorists who’d been killed at the Munich Olympic Games.

But why did his accusers (presumably) find it difficult to discover anti-semitic speech by the old booby? Very odd; I mean, it’s hardly likely that he was exhibiting masterly self-control about what he said, is it?

By the way, your accusation that Toni Blair followed the policies of Thatcher leads me to sigh “if only it were so.” Put at its simplest, she was pro-British, he was anti-British.”
