Wednesday [8 to 14]

(0515) Had another snooze, dear reader … guilty. (0801)

14. White House Press Secretary

Names have been mooted … Alina Habba, Kari Lake, Kayleigh McEnany … interesting that no males have been mentioned yet … how about General Flynn? McGregor?

13. Item 13 should perhaps be religious or whatever

I know I said I’d not write on Welby … hmmmm, what about his replacement then? Actually, I was looking for blondes for Friday lunchtime (found some fab femmes by the way) and found this:

12. ZeroHedge, quoted on Gab

Here’s another one you can add to the left’s ever-growing list of ‘do as I say, not as I do’.

A senior COP29 official in Azerbaijan reportedly used his role as heading up the fight on climate change…to secure meetings with potential investors in the country’s oil and gas sectors.

Energy production drives 60% of Azerbaijan’s economy. Elnur Soltanov, Azerbaijan’s deputy energy minister and COP29 chief, was covertly recorded discussing investment opportunities in the state-owned SOCAR, according to PJ Media.

“SOCAR Trading is trading oil and gas all over the world, including in Asia. To me, these are the possibilities to explore. But in any case this is something that you need to be talking to SOCAR, and I would be happy to create a contact between yourself and them,” he was caught on tape saying.

He added: “We have a lot of gas fields that are to be developed.”

11. “Oilman” on Gab

Former Trump Senior Advisor Steve Bannon recommends that General and former Joint Chiefs Mark Milley be court martialed on Day 1 of the Trump presidency.

Milley contacted an enemy of the United States in China and told them he would give them a heads up on any Trump order that Milley didn’t agree with.

Milley also tried to organize a group of leaders within the Trump administration to not carry out orders that President Trump gave at the time.

10. DAD drops at 876

a) Yesterday I reported how a man had thrown concrete block on the heads of men sleeping in the streets in Lyon and Rotterdam … arrested on a train this evening in Toulon. The man allegedly committed violence against a woman on a train in Toulon … Cameroonian nationality. Due to the lack of identity papers, his real identity is currently being verified.

b) M. le Maire at Bordeaux changes his mind. He will arm the Police. The announcement was made two years before the municipal elections, assuming a U-turn in a “worsened” security context. Criticized by the opposition and challenged by the agents’ unions who demanded armament, the elected ecologist said he made this decision in the face of “crimes and offenses (which) have increased sharply” in the Bordeaux metropolis.

c) How Could a Labour Party Advisor Not Have Heard About the Batley Grammar School Teacher Still in Hiding After Showing His Students a Cartoon of Muhammed Three Years Ago?

d) Alina Habba, and friends, are enjoying themselves.

8. Steve has two selections of his own at 875

… these are just JH’s … everything’s at 875 across the way.

  1. 14. On the picks and proposed picks, something to think about:

    “Questions about Trump’s Picks
    1. Either the anonymous sources are right and these are the picks
    Or
    2. Trump is allowing the leaks to see who is leaking information
    3. [DS] leaking information trying to cause chaos

What’s interesting is that all the rumors are individuals who hold a public office, either a Governor or a Senator
The Confirmed picks are individuals that do not currently hold a public office”

    🤔

    ……

    JH: Bears scrutiny.

  2. 12. During a rather heated (no pun intended) conversation about the pros and cons (are there any pros?) on net zero and the cessation of using fossil fuels, there was a disagreement whether oil and gas are actually fossil derivatives, or mineral. Could anyone confirm whether they are composed of baby dinosaurs or an effect of heat and pressure under the earth’s mantle? Would like some ammunition for the next meeting. Thank you.

    …..

JH: My understanding is not fossil, except coal, need to explore for the links.
