The early years of the world

This re-runs something I put up at the old N.O. and is, imho, a fine overview, in which he takes one of a number of interpretations on each successive point, which together form a cohesive whole. The episodes below are 4 to 8 of some 70+ overall … in these in particular, I thought he did a pretty good job.

The key episode, imho, is n8, as it explains so much of today’s dire situation and for me personally … well I’ve been involved with some of these people, face to face so to speak.

The eighth seems to have been embedding disabled … it says by the video owner but this would only be because Them disapproved of it getting out … which our experience tells us means the nail has indeed been hit on the head.

I’m not upset by this as it could well turn out to be a safety valve.

(0632) Morning all. Grifty, you’ll recall, opens her pieces with “… you gorgeous, good looking people” and I was thinking (dangerous I know) … that that’s quite nice. Critics might call it insincere but I’d call it all-inclusive for those of her mindset. And let’s face it … would you prefer waking up to “we’re doomed, doomed y’hear” or to… “Morning, you intelligent, discerning, patient patrons …” or similar? (Brits of course would recognise Private Frazer in that “doomed” one and might smile at it.) (0734)

And one thing clear to me is that my focus needs to be not only on news gathering as we’ve been doing but also doing my own “magpie mind” thing in “bits from here and there I find” and bring them back to this nest. That starts to make sense. (0539)

 

The Magpie Mind this Sunday morn

  • Why is my health alternately good, then terminal, then back to good? It’s currently as fit as a fiddle (are fiddles fit ? No matter).
  • Saw this after I’d been looking at the Hebrew word “berr eh sheet” (expanded further down):

In other words … integrity, reputation within our “community”, what our name means is everything. Yes, esp. in this community here, where deep diving and accuracy are essential. Also the baddies will always exploit our weaknesses.

  • This berr-eh-sheet word. It’s the Hebrew start of Genesis but does not mean just “in the beginning” but “at the beginning of”. Apparently, St Jerome took it as just “beginning”, as the Greeks took it that way. But the Hebrew context was that God is, am, always, eternal, and this was, is, will be the beginning of earth, life, of mankind. Even end of His work.

For some reason, I took that line, no idea why, in my long book … that things happen, not just because of a linear timetable, cause and effect, but because of conjunctions of circumstances, even IYE’s “coinky-dinks”. And the obvious question is … how random? Or is it designed and directed?

That berr-eh-sheet youtube had many things wrong with it in itself:

  • It was AI, so key words were mispronounced
  • It purported to be Christian, just called Bible Study, but used CE and BCE, which are dead giveaways of either Judaism or modern godless “scholarship”
  • Which comes back to the short above, about reputation, and youtube’s is poor … sensationalist, with AI voice and errors
  • Which in turn suggests it needs some site(s) to be dedicated to as many magpie gathered snippets as possible, for readers to be able to follow up, rather than to just sit like veges, soaking up uncritically.
  • Which in turn means much more work on my part.

You know the Olivia Newton John song Let’s Get Physical (written with a rock artist like Rod Stewart in mind before being passed to Olivia Newton-John … she having been a pupil at a school I once taught at a long time after) … thereby rendering her a Jezebel, as Stewart was being rendered a satyr … as was Tam Lin … and who was the girl led astray in that Scottish folk song?

Her name was Janet, in “her kirtle green a bit aboon her brie”, “so she can run swiftly to Carterhaugh, a forbidden place where she meets Tam Lin”. And who was my first gf when I was 12? Janet. And who was my first full-on gf when I was 15? Janet … we’re still in touch. And who was the first I spent the night with? Marie, which ruins the coinky dinks, does it not?

That’s the first motif in this post … the satyr and the Jezebel nymph. The second is the coinky-dink (as IYE might term it) of so many world events right now having biblucal references … the very conflict in the middle-east and now visited upon our own lands has quite ancient antecedents … for example Revelation 3:9 (connected with Philadelphia … do you know what that name means?) …
