The rationale is, with apologies to George Carlin … that it’s a small club and you’re a part of it should you wish, providing you understand how it works, provided you take the time to learn the ropes. For example, if I were to put a subheading “DAD at 1164”, it means NOWC, found in the navbar, that particular drop.
As mentioned in one of the posts, there are two main divisions in western society now … Wokerati, loonies, many of them college age, under the control of “Them”, the term we use for globopsycho, e.g. Blair, Soros, the Leyen woman, plus a flood of alien warriors … and then there’s a second division, maybe called the sane, trad, family and working life based, people just wanting to be left alone to get on with their lives unmolested, esp. by the state.
This complex of sites caters for the latter. Initially, I’ll look at those of our mindset on a case by case basis, ever watchful of trolling by the insane. One complication is the anti-spam, partly beyond my control so if any of us are caught up in that, yes, even myself, it’s happened, it’s my job to go through the engine rooms daily and redress wrongly placed comments.
Each of the four sites, plus OoL, lends itself to certain commenters, types of info, style, so that’s as well to know. More fancifully, the four sites can be seen as a property just behind a lighthouse on the end of a promontory, with taverns, accommodation (inc. further up river), even a chapel in the grounds.
Back from the lighthouse and tavern proper is the river and track, dotted with unsociable curmudgeons in huts and on houseboats
Using this fanciful system, we refer to the patrons of the tavern as patrons, occasionally chaps and chapesses, but often I’ll just say “reader(s)”, to include newbies and stumble-upons. I’m referred to in this fanciful sense as the landlord. We see this series of sites as some sort of remaining haven under the assault of the baddies out there currently controlling and indoctrinating the west.
As for “Unherdable Cats”, well we are that … impossible to believe in just One Party Political Line, even close allies differing on this point or that … civil discourse is the rule here, the landlord stepping in if patrons are under attack.
Last thing for now … if you plan to comment … good, but you must use a moniker, real or fanciful, consistently out of respect for other readers … not just be Anon or Unknown.
