6. An ecumenical statement by JH

The previous and current versions of the blog describe me as “a private Christian”, which I suppose is open to interpretation. Perhaps a better way to put it is this:

Though Christened as a baby into the Church of England, making me, I suppose, something of a WASP, I’ve always had Catholic friends and in Russia … Orthodox. Naturally, also atheist, agnostic, even pagan and those following the other side. I was never “confirmed”, so my taking “communion” on rare occasions may have been denominationally naughty but fine in terms of the Word. The Word is the Word.

Blogging has added to that … Methodists, Baptists, Reformed, Pentecostal, Mormon, plus I know a few Illumined. Right now, I have a friend in Ireland, so I presume she’s Catholic. Now and then, one denomination or other puts on the hard word and frankly, I go quiet or run.

I’ve often said that this blog is not religious in itself, though Christian items do come up, not only in art and music. In Italy, I’d often wander into a church on the basis that they essentially accept the Trinity, plus there’ve been very saintly people over the millennia. My defence of Christianity, in the sense of Christians slaughtered, churches burnt down, is a political-religious mix … for example, I’m into women’s safety defence, into protecting our heritage and underpinnings.

Mixed view on “turn the other cheek”. With a more warrior mindset, yes … we should try to get along with all, personally, afap … but if that person or those people are clearly bent on harming us, the community, the nation … not the slightest compunction dealing with them summarily, if attacked. Anyone attacking an old person, for example … I’d try to disable, not nicely.

Rather than being of an “interfaith muddy soup” appeasing all factions, I’m for the Apostles Creed afa it can be authenticated … that’s a good mission statement … that’s my “denomination”. Each person of the Trinity deserves its own due. Conscience certainly exists in the trad western manner.

That’s as far as I go … pesky issues such as transsubstantiation and consubstantiation I don’t dwell on … He above knows, that’s good enough for me … any more would be presumptuous. As I wrote in my long saga … can we be saved? Answer … if we believe we can be. That’s where the blockage is for most. END.

GPS—puts Zohran Mamdani at Barack Hussein Obama II’s War Room twice in 6 weeks. Also present were leaders from the Muslim Brotherhood and what certainly appears to be two Iranian MOIS operatives, very likely IRGC Unit 840. Both are physically linked to Majid Dastjani Farahani, having meet Farahani in Venezuela in June 2024, with the timing, they very likely were discussing the ass@ssination of President Trump. These were the same operatives who were regularly is the company of fake federal agents with every agency from the Department of Homeland Security, to the U.S. Marshals, Arian Taherzadeh and Haider Ali. One was Pakistani intelligence while the other was Iranian.

FYI – remember Arian Taherzadeh and Haider Ali, who tricked actual Secret Service officers, offering expensive apartments and luxury gifts to curry favor with law enforcement agents, including one agent assigned to protect the First Lady, Jill Biden. They falsely claimed, at various times, to be an agent with the Department of Homeland Security, a former U.S. Air Marshal, and a former U.S. Army Ranger. They even tricked owners of three apartment complexes into letting them use multiple apartments and parking spaces for fake operations. What wasn’t made public is one of the men worked for Iran Intelligence and the other, Pakistan. Nothing to see here!

Next, were we ever updated as to why the Pakistani AWAN family who infiltrated the (D) Congress Caucus thru Xavier Becerra and Debbie Washerwoman Schultz and plundered defense secrets for the Pakistani Intelligence, ISI. Neither Becerra nor Schultz has ever explained WHY they were hired, or held to account. The enemy is not only within the wire they have taken over command. The Pakistani information technology worker IT staffer Imran Awan and his brother had full access to not just the DNC servers but all House representatives servers, emails and cloud, they even leaked secret data from House offices to a secret server and http://Dropbox.com https://csoonline.com/article/568121/crowdstrike-ukraine-and-the-dnc-server-timeline-and-facts.html

Review:

“This is an odd little film of immediately post War Britain that grew on me the second time I watched it. The first time I was somewhat confused plus I simply couldn’t understand the actors and their thick British accents when they spoke rapidly. The second time though, it grew on me. In spite of the fact that the viewer knows everything and it is the police who are trying to find out who the murderer is.

A woman is killed near a local fair, strangled, and apparently there have been several of these types of murders – all unsolved – over the last year or so. Scotland Yard is called in on the case. They beat a path to the actual murderer’s door almost immediately, but they don’t know that and the murderer is playing it cool. So much so that it is awhile into the film before the viewer knows that this guy is the murderer and not just some moody eccentric fellow with an exaggerated penchant for punctuality and that this is not going to be some kind of “wrong man” story. And it can’t hurt that the murderer is from a respectable household and is a respectable businessman as far as giving the police pause.

So in this film the accent is on the inner turmoil of the murderer, apparently tormented by the knowledge that his grandfather was a hangman. This is the kind of weird slant on things that I saw in the silent film “Hangman’s House” – insinuating that people who hang murderers who were convicted by somebody else and sentenced by somebody else are the actual murderers. Plus back in this time people still believed that genetics were destiny rather than possibility. As the murderer’s inner conflict intensifies, the rather haunting score of the film becomes louder and more constant.

The second time watching it, I noticed that this film was most economically shot. You never even see the first victim of the film, and subsequent scenes are shot outside or in small rooms. No elaborate sets seem to have been built. This tends to make post war British films high quality in the acting and plot departments since apparently there was not lots of money for art design.

I’d recommend this one. Just don’t get the idea that it is a police procedural or a noir because it really is neither of those.”
