a) Twenty-two people went on trial in France on Monday on charges of murder and other serious crimes centred on members of a Masonic lodge accused of running hit squads.
b) This is Paris 2026. The fact that Paris went from the “City of Love” to this is nothing short of a tragedy.
c) In Moncontour, Mayor Olivier Pellan, elected on March 15, resigned less than two weeks later. His home was vandalized with graffiti, and then his car was damaged.

Speaks for itself. Part of my yoof. Rambling through the hills and mountains with other members of our Youth Circle and spontaneously bursting into song with this:

JH: His bio, with great respect:
He was involved in the artistic side of the Labour movement, a Fabian socialist, life-long pacifist and a friend of Ramsay MacDonald. Anti Christian, therefore, yet used a choral structure. Most interesting.
In 1906 he founded the Glasgow Orpheus Choir. For five years before that it was the Toynbee Musical Association. A perfectionist, he expected the highest standards of performance from its members. Its voice was a choir voice, its individual voices not tolerated.
Individuality not tolerated … well of course.
As a Fabian socialist, naturally, in 1931 he accepted a peerage, unlike RH Tawney who asked, when offered a gong: “What harm have I ever done the Labour Party?”
Fascinating.
I only left that for the lyrics. The voices on the recording were pretty good. And whatever he was, the song as I said speaks for itself.
When people start “with great respect “ it usually means the opposite and out comes the put down. Thanks for trying to ruin something that was precious to me. There’s no respect in that at all. Better that you had said nothing.
