JH: Bit of confusion over these shots of an F-15 pilot parachuting when his plane was hit. I saw a report earlier that it was Iran firing and they were refusing to collect him once landed. Just shows how footage is misused.

Eric Daugherty though says:

“Footage shows an American F-15 fighter pilot who was accidentally shot down by Kuwaiti forces ALIVE and RECOVERING What appears to be a group of local Kuwaitis stopped and let him lay in the back of a vehicle until he could receive proper treatment.”

“Both the Pilot and Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) onboard the U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle that crashed this morning over Kuwait due to a “friendly fire” incident, appear to have survived, being found by locals and transferred to local authorities in Kuwait.”

Just saw a report that it was a command failure … did not inform Kuwaitis who were using Patriots. Centcom condfirms crew safe.
