There’s something deeply annoying going on. Well of course there is out there … a govt in each western nation turning on its people, dreaming up ways to ruin us, plus 5G, plus AI, plus anything which does give some pleasure is interfered with to make it unlistenable or unwatchable.

WP was once a prime platform, then they went for this block rubbish and ruined it, as did ggl who have now started demanding personal and financial details downunder … and so it goes on. YT certainly has an obligation to ensure copyright is observed, no argument, but this business of having to stop a song or clip several times to break it up … loading in ads at any moment … that’s simply meanspirited.

And this Peter Gunn series. About two thirds of the episodes are ok, watchable to pretty watchable, nonetheless with excellent sound and vision. By chance, I stumbled on one of the best episodes of them all, as drama, with a good plot, cast and a bevy of beauties … what happens? Poor sound … crackly, part dulled, ditto vision in places.

Yes, it was series one, in the 50s … that’s not the point. Point is that plenty of those lesser episodes had fine picture and sound. This one below, being a great episode by its lights … is dulled or left dulled, not restored. Why? Were I to say deliberately, then you’d call me a conspiracy theorist, no?
