… had an item on sophiology. For a Christian, it’s anathema, it’s the other side’s, the illumined’s “sacred feminin”, in the tradition of Lilit, different other beast to, say, Mary Magdalene.

There are, in the sidebar, and esp. under last night’s last post, so many topics, so many memes as well I’ll keep dipping into. This was one:

6. More housekeeping

Systems issue … unlike our “beloved guests” pouring into the country, Redacted’s flooding of the comments thread poses a conundrum, in that they’re quality rantings, with useful links … I see this deep digging usefulness more in line with IYE’s style.

Issue is that, with “comments” not being set up in forum format, but as a nested-comments thread under each post … there’s no issue with that whatever in itself … just comment away.

The issue is in the sidebar widget, which displayed 12 comments till a few minutes ago, when I increased it to 15. I looked at changing site themes, e.g. to that of UHC-WP, which puts the comment count near the top of the post but some advantages of this current theme stayed my hand.

Hmmmmm. The dilemma is how to still get the Redacted input whilst not flooding the sidebar widget, driving everyone else’s comments into the ether?

There’s a way around it … by scrolling to the foot of the post and if you see a comments count there … click … plus that works for a fortnight, thank goodness, which means as long as anyone’s likely to be interested. Also, it’s a nicer, more contextual way to read and to add comments … it’s probably the least bad option just now.

The flooded sidebar is still useful … it just tells me to go to the other method of scrolling down the front page => older posts => scroll down again => rinse and repeat. None of it’s a core problem, plus we pick up great pointers along the way.

this is what I do. I do not mean to be disruptive or annoying, particularly to yourself. It has just seemed the least obnoxious way for me. I tried OOL, but that seemed to make your life more difficult. Wrong hoped for.

I trust your health is well.

    now!
    on to the T24…
