19. Birth of a new riding – Ted Heath took over the Tory Party and made it what it is today: a bunch of wringing wet self-hating liberals. A Minister under Macmillan he scoped out the EEC and fell in love with it. We all know what happened with that little tryst: he sold us out. He knew full-well that the Common Market he signed us up to was a ruse to get this country under the yoke of the bureaucrats in Brussels. I shan’t mention the Haut de la Garenne goings on as my mother told me to never speak ill of the dead 🙂
