Far more than just dancers, these two

The dates and ages are important to me here with this story:

https://www.laprovence.com/article/edition-vaucluse/4238222/ils-sont-les-meilleurs-danseurs-de-boogie-woogie-de-la-planete.html

The article is 2016, it has them at that point already dancing for five years, winning championships … he in 2016 is 31 years and she 26. Right, the dates on the dances posted below are 2020 (covid time), 2023 and the last 2024, looking towards 2025, when they married.

I’m estimating that in the last dance below, he is 39, nudging 40 and she 34, nudging 35. That’s tick-tock time for both, family-wise. So, in an attempt to cast them as a fairytale couple, their past cohabitation does not quite fit the Christian ideal.

And yet it’s so patently obvious that their eyes are for each other … this was picked up by audiences across Europe, it’s everyone’s ideal in these awful days now of division and separation … it’s a glimmer of hope that a male and female can work in tandem to this point, still having fun. What happens next?

And it’s my politics to a tee. Yes, we all know what our politics here are, us unherdables but with me, there’s always been this edge to it, to the point that if I’m friendly with this lady or that and she’s in such a relationship already, I’ve always rapidly backed off as they’re precisely what my politics are all about and always will be … male meets female, they court, marry, then comes the patter of little “thems”. And if a godly match … that seals it.

Looking at him, signs of a paunch now, a few errors in that last song, nothing really left to prove. Will she drop away or remain svelte? I love the maturity in that last routine, even greater closeness if that’s possible.

Quiet prayer for both and for all sanctified couples out there.
