Evri

I feel duty bound to backtrack a bit here … Evri have exerted NO pressure whatever but by the same token, theirs was a pretty impressive response time (as Tom Cruise might say) to two Xers an hour or so ago:

… and:

… to which Evri instantly responded:

… then followed up with a request to DM or email, then a further message from a lady named Linda. As I said above … pretty impressive response. Ok, my tale:

I order through Amazon. They used to (2024) sometimes use a different courier, inc. Evri. Four times there were issues with Evri and I was not the only one … the local head office lady took over herself and was impressive.

I’m going to wait until next time Amazon delegate to Evri after I order and report here how it goes. They do seem to be on top of things now … can’t speak for Lisa.

  1. I’ve had few problems with deliveries, one regarding Evri took a while to ort out but no complaints since. DHL by far the best, Royal Mail can be the worst if the parcel goes to the sorting office for pick-up. On one occasion I heard a rustle at my letter box, it was one of those notifications that the parcel could not be delivered. I popped my head out of the door and called out ‘here I am, give me the parcel’. He didn’t even have it with him.

When I was working we used FedEx frequently to get stuff to the USA. Once I was given the wrong cut-off time for collection to get the last flight to New Jersey. The office manager himself took the package from our cab firm and drove to Gatwick to get the package on board. Top marks to that man!
