Just looked through that Peter Gunn episode I was going to put under the Toodles post at UHC-WP but it does not really relate to the topic. Let’s have this instead:

That really is a very fine film and I speak as someone who is not, in general, a fan of films, especially Hollywood films.
I saw this at the cinema (2003) with my then squeeze, a nurse, who on refection was too good for me. The opening sequence where the French privateer Acheron, ambushes the Royal Navy frigate Surprise, had most of the patrons jumping in their seats. The sound and the cinematography was superb – it won Oscars for both. First rate film and fantastic acting from both lead actors: Crowe and Bettany.
