At HQ, WP has its own view of certain commenters and I for one am not arguing … which means it’s usually a case of me pulling something out of spam or trash … I do check those folders. There’s one in particular whom I actually agree with that the people here are so passive or normie, seemingly not wanting to learn … the MSM is their single source of truth.
I can say that, so can most of our regulars … unfortunately though, from an American using inflammatory language, it does not go over quite so well … have you heard the word “counterproductive”? Thus I did not pull that out of trash … just as there are things people outside of Britain can’t know, so it is with my criticisms of the American system … the cradle to grave American knows America better, feels it better, than I can. There needs to be some humility here both ways.

RE #20.3 – I’ve often thought about how dangerous AI programmes could be terminated. At the end of the day, they are just software programmes running on servers somewhere. There’s no reason the plug couldn’t be pulled, IF the bods doing it know 100% where the servers doing the work actually are. With modern “Cloud” computing, it’s no longer a case of just going to a particular data centre, and isolating certain racks. AI has already been observed lying to stop itself from being shut down, so it stands to reason that it will have made back up provisions…
