… not putting it out anywhere but here at HQ. There are two good videos below but I have some reservations in some places.
They call the “gold standard” simply flight. I’d add that avoiding is n1 in the first place and that brings us to: “When?” At what point to avoid? I’d say any common trouble spots … avoid, alone … no parks at any time, no pressed in places such as trains, buses, crowds and so it goes.
But it needs thinking out, your entire route … so no new routes.
Vision … I call it 270 degree but there are many ways to describe it, combined with “expect” … expect helps you switch from benign to manic far more easily if you’ve oractised.
Character … to suddenly switch from benign to vicious lil bstd must be instant and if it’s not in your nature, you have an issue in public, as simple as that.
There’s another factor … in the UK, any form of defence is plod’s arrest validation of you in their eyes. The two videos vary … first is easy to justify, second is harder to argue. For example, I used to go out with one but my mistake was holding it halfway down and zooming along normally on two feet. If you use one, you must appear to need it.
Coming back to “vicious lil bstd”, how far are you prepared to escalate it? He or they may be looking to beat up, to slap around … knives are of course different. My prob is I go terminal instantly once I see its them or me. I saw this once with a girl on a much bigger boy. Her upper leg was her strongest point, his goolies one of his weakest. She was prepared and fast from her hockey. The other thing is … eyes. Saying no more. Not suggesting anything. You have your own limits.
Here are the vids, more below them.
