25. DAD’s take on France

The cunning plan is to train, wash, eat, finish up, then come back to start DAD’s page at UHC-WP … the only regular commenter (as distinct from reader) with no page still as yet. However, there are two tricky questions to resolve first:

a. Do we run it with latest at the top, downwards to some point in the past, or do we have it read as we would a long, a tale, as most reports are?

b. How far back do we go? At which point in this Macronian mess do we start?

Any thoughts on this, esp. from DAD?

(1719) Too late, ha ha … have already started! Doing it latest first, in keeping with DAD’s blogging … it makes it much easier to add more below … we can go back as far as we wish … but the current news is at the top. I’ll write the dates in as we go back in time. DAD at any time can add or subtract. This is in the nature of an archive at UHC-WP:

(1734 first report from JH)

There are coding problems transferring … one WP will not accept some code from the other … comes out red in html, not black. I’m going to have to study this to see how to fix. It’s possible I’ll not be able to. 🍿🍿🍿.

Review:

“THE COVETOUS HEADSMAN is the fourth episode of THE SAINT and the first genuinely decent one of the whole series. This is a well-paced, exotic piece of television, with plenty of action and danger to see it through, and a back story of the kind that used to prop up many a British crime thriller of the 1950s. It’s a WW2 story about treachery, betrayal, and modern-day revenge, and Templar is in the middle of it and trying to work out what’s going on.

This episode also has a fantastic little supporting cast which fans of British cinema will adore. Hammer starlet Barbara Shelley has the damsel-in-distress role and looks very glamorous with it, while George Pastell is the villain of the piece and unusually whited-up for the part, which makes a change. The familiar-looking Eugene Deckers plays a detective, and best of all is 1930s actor Esmond Knight (father of Rosalind) playing one of Templar’s chums.”

Monday [16 to 20]

(1220) Afternoon all. On the Tempus Fugit scale, time has actually slowed a tad, am catching up rapidly, hope it continues today. Dull and coolish out there, slightly brighter. (1232)

Which duvet cover method?

Excuse me being racist or whatever but that accent is curious … is she southern English or Australian? Coz there does seem a nasality to the voice. Juss asking for a friend. Anyway, she’s unusual for Which? Coz their advertsing is full of blacks, Sikhs, deathculters but no natives.

I looked em up to see if the consumer protectgovtdog had had some bad press last time I checked … quango when not officially quango press, plus some toerag had got into power and started gouging subscribers, for reduced return. Rather than professional tests, they were alleged to be relying more and more on durveys of the publuc … and a particular demographic, a la YouGov.

Naturally, I could be entirely wrong and they’re just as cutting edge today as ever … she doesn’t seem overly Wokeleft and is therefore bearable … see what you think.

Monday [6 to 10]

(0854) Not dark grey, it’s lighter than that out there, but still low Gates cloud … plus I did see chemtrail planes out days ago, still plying their destructiveness for the climate and depopulation hoaxes. (0942)

10. Have a productive week, good people

Marsha and I have been mutually following from way vack, maybe 2010 … not agreeing at all times but still here.

9. These below are posted one after the other

… for no real reason other than that’s how they appeared, plus each topic is relevant right now:

8. What’s the common factor here?

It’s the source for me, or rather the reposter. I used to see PH at N.O. and look up the topics she brought … Vicky is such a one today, Sarah for North America. These reposters are sound people, sane politics, levelheaded … any punter needs such people. Chris Rose above is a black conservative … also useful. Matt Goodwin is iffy as he’s Reform inner sanctum with Yusuf.

7. Candace

Sooner or later, we each have to decide about her … whether it’s all her ego and grandstanding, whether she does bring receipts … and whom for? Is she anti-Donny, anti-baddies or what?

6. Update from DAD at 1172

France. When will the motion of censure be voted on?  With a motion of censure tabled by LFI this Monday morning, before another tabled by the RN “in the coming hours,” the government could fall as early as Wednesday.

Monday [3 to 5]

(0819) Another late sleep, readers, shall be up to speed once the washing and brek are done. Plus bath. Afternoon training. Apart from that, all is well. I need a maid. (0842)

2. DAD at 1171

a) “SĂŠbastien Lecornu formed a government with defectors from the right and civil society figures, with the goal of submitting a draft budget within the allotted time.

Above all, France still does not have a budget for 2026, even though time is running out: according to the Constitution, Parliament must have at least 70 days to examine a draft budget before December 31.

b) That did not take long…

“We have tabled the motion of censure that will bring down the #Lecornu2 Government!

……

JH: Highly abridged version above of all the shenanigans in France. Once the rush of incoming eases, I’ll get down to that DAD history of current France … 1171, readers.

1. How confirmation bias can invalidate an argument

This is a case, imho, of “unproven”. The blurb, at Wall Street Apes, said: “Another California resident CONFIRMS, if you vote “No” on Gavin Newsom’s Proposition 50 Redistricting Plan by their mail in ballots your “No” vote will show through the envelope Democrats can then easily identify them and throw them away “Look at that, they can tell exactly who voted no” The redistricting is gonna be RIGGED” and there’s a video below that, from which these are two sshots:

Between the two, the lady asks him to turn the sheet around and he does, quickly turning the envelope away with the second and the clip ends. There is not the same front on scrutiny of the first, just him saying, “There ya go,” and quickly moving the envelope away.

So sorry, there we do NOT go, not on that test. There’s certainly a double circle gap going on, meaning the ballots might be capable of being read by anyone … that’s so … but his bias in handling the two scenarios, again imho, invalidates the argument and hands Newsom supporters ammunition.
