Fri Mat

Been a bad day. The film I did have turned out embedding disabled, this was the consolation film, sorry.

Review:

“The Limping Man is a fairly bland British B grade Noir with Lloyd Bridges imported from America to play the lead role and add appeal to a wider audience. The plot follows a reasonably intriguing path towards what should/could have been a dramatic conclusion before reaching a disappointing ending that might have been borrowed from a children’s story.

Despite this, the film has its moments with fine performances from Bridges and Alan Wheatley as the Inspector. Leslie Phillips appears as the inspector’s subordinate and, as always, is typecast as the ladies man who ogles everything in a dress.

Although the ending is flawed the film still has appeal as an interesting example of British Film Noir.”

Friday [11 and 12]

(1311) Attempting to start a post but too much happening elsewhere. Planning to run Steve’s bully comment, plus Toods’ plus add a short bit myself … where? I’m thinking UHC-WP as a standalone, maybe called Bullying. I’d appreciate if readers, inc. Redacted, use the site as a third of nourishing unherdables, it seems the least loved just now. There’s a filum for sometime after two. (1558)

7. Toodles across the pond

This is not Candace O. They talk about her. She gets on my last nerve these days. Nonetheless the fact she is a pit bull doesn’t mean she is wrong.

Redacted show (not the Redacted we know) presents some interesting points. Start at  11:30 ish…as that is when the show really starts. However it gets to some meat starting around 18:55 ish.

It goes on and wowee there is an interesting thing regarding CK’s shirt, mic, necklace 🤷🏼‍♀️. The view is of Charlie but not gruesome.  It focuses on his shirt.

6. Steve on the Tylenol loons

Friday [1 to 5]

(0823) Morning all, late start today, needed the sleep, going to touch on the compulsory ID not immediately, I’ve a nice pic from Bobbie to run on it … also greatly appreciated the Steve, Toods and Penseivat drops, they really add to understanding. So, let’s get started for #tgif … (0946)

5. We may have had it … let’s have it again

2. Another take on that apparent Trump volte face on the Ukraine

First up, I saw an interesting piece on X by a westerner in which he translated u krayinya as “in or on the borderlands” … that is a true translation na russkom. Further, Kiev is the centre of the entire Slavic race. It is NOT part of a separate country … at best, in their eyes, it’s an autonomous republic like the others.

Naturally, the issue from the Uke side is the dialect, certain characters in the alphabet, plus the murderous fascist groups … those knowing history know of the Uke fascists’ pogroms, esp. on the Polish. And as you go further and further outwards or downwards, the less hold Russia has. It’s not cut and dried … it’s gradual and messy. Finland is a whole story, Sweden.

Any Moose Limb presence is sheer intrusion, though those in the Tatar republic would say it was Ee van Groznee (Ivan the Great to the Russkies), in 1552 or 56, can’t remember, who intruded and brought down the Khanate. Phew. Next time … about Suyembika and the leaning tower. And I’ve been countless times right at the scene of it all.
