Yes, the wasps are still with us. The powder that was supposed to be certain death did not work. Today we bought wasp killer spray. My Beloved sprayed it like crazy into the hole. I was indoors, and as he sprayed I heard behind the panelling a huge angry buzz! I shouted at Beloved to run, which he didn’t do. He just sauntered away. Fortunately, in spite of my visions of an angry swarm chasing after him, the wasps stayed put.

Fortunately, in spite of my visions of an angry swarm chasing after him, the wasps stayed put. Either they were totally unaware of where the horrible death spray had come from, or they were overwhelmed with death. I have heard nothing more. It is eerily silent.

Right now, I can’t be bothered to check. I’m drinking tea and eating biscuits, which seems like a very English response. And I found I did have photos of the wasps. I zoomed in and found I’d managed to catch a photo or two.
