  1. 8. No we aren’t over here. Just had to say a final goodbye to our canine Chum. It is never easy for us but at least his suffering is over. A day too soon is better than a day too late. 😢

    • Sorry to hear that IYE, I said goodbye to my best mate in ’23 and it still saddens me. I walk other people’s dogs now, including my next door neighbour who’s getting on a bit and can’t make the hills. Take care.

      • Thank you Steve, JH and Andy.

There’s been better days and there will be again. Grateful to have had him in our lives.

        • The post from Toodles expressing sympathy towards me over my recent loss as well as my reply thanking her were removed yesterday. That is beyond the pale and some mean-spirited individual should take a good look at themselves in the mirror. Due to this and other inconsistencies occurring at this blog I no longer trust it or its admin. Excuses and apologies (unlikely) won’t cut it this time.

  2. IYE,

I cannot imagine what happened to our comments. I peered in finally today to see that there is so much going on at UHC! It has been crazy in Toodlesvile too, but maybe compared to the happenings here mine are not as bad as I thought.

You show much wisdom and knowledge regarding things pertaining to our Father’s world. We are aware that He is allowing, for a season, the wicked one to dominate. We live on the mine field called Earth, where we must traverse daily until the day we are no longer part of this dimension.

As long as we are here in this dimension and as followers of the Way, we understand that we are instructed by Father to help teach, instruct, and edify one another.

You also appear to have a relationship with our living God who is Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Because you are who you are (and of course, to the others who contribute and comment here, y’all are so important to so many of us, known and unknown, who visit here but it is to you IYE am speaking now) you must realise we are being attacked and pelted with all sorts of mess along with snares and traps which are set before for us…and certainly you know the reason. I pray you will not allow him to keep you away, dear IYE. Be tenacious and keep at it here at UHC blog. Forgiving too? I would be devastated to no longer have you around, as I imagine so would the other kool Katz

As you know I did leave a brief and sincere sympathy comment along with the other cats to give you comfort regarding your dear friend, Chum. Lately I have had some land mines, slings and arrows, darts landing in my path. After many hours gone by the other day, I finally popped in to UHC. I was saddened to see what had to be done to your beloved pet.

It has been a number of years now, but I recall you and others at NO comforting me for the same reason.

It is so like our Father to have given us companions like Chum to touch and even teach us. We also provide companionship and a purpose for them as well.

If you would ever like to share something…a memory, a tale of Chum…please do. I would eagerly read. In turn, after a while of grieving…(it is Chum’s time to be remembered and honoured)…I might share a story about my companion( s) who provided joy, entertainment, security and friendship, etc. For other uhcats to share would be delightful. It would not be to compete with one another, but to relate to you and each of us who have been blessed with a loyal pet and even saddened by the loss.

IYE, I want to extend to you my heartfelt sympathy 💐 🙏😘..

    • Heartfelt gratitude Toodles. Thoughts with you regarding your current turmoil.

Only story to share at this moment is Chum when he’d reached his “teenage years” realized how far he could reach up on his hind legs and the mischief he could get into. He let himself out of our garden gate and went exploring the neighbour’s. Fortunately I was onto him and got him back before he raided their kitchen. He also realized that night that he could open our bedroom door and that there was a Chum-sized spot (ish) on our bed. After that we had to lock the door. In his heyday he weighed 45 kilos but his nature was “as soft as a boiled turnip”. He didn’t have a nasty bone in his body and could keep many a secret. 😉
I’m taking a break from the internet. Need some downtime.

      Be well.

  3. Andy…editing please…I must hire you, young feller to edit me! Why I do not see my mistakes until after I post I really cannot say. I have seriously been ‘enstupidated’! 🤭🤭🤭🤣

Apart from enstupidation (😆) subject… I have a link to quite a throw by the an Amasing Atlanta Brave outfielder. It was stupendous! The team is just horrible this year, but sometimes flashes of greatness occur!
    I hope the link works!

    • Toodles, thanks for that clip. I still enjoy watching the Braves even though they are below their best. We always look for a villain to blame, so I lay the blame at Freddy Freeman’s feet. Leaving the Braves to return to the Dodgers shouldn’t have hurt so much. Then it turned out that the Dodgers were sponsoring the nuns of perpetual indulgence and so it became easier for me to blame Freddy and dislike the Dodgers. I still think that Freddy was and is a great player. He certainly helped the Braves to post season on many occasions.

  4. IYE….hope I am not wearing you out with comments from me, but must say….
In your brief tale about Chum I can vividly visualize his moves and personality (and yours). A tear or two welled in my eyes reading your tender words about that rascal.

I hope your downtime brings you needed rest and comfort.
I am sure your beloved will be glad to spend some time with you.
Just don’t be gone too long. 😉
