5. Andy at 1090 – Iraq (Blair), Libya (Cameron), Ukraine (Johnson). We’re up to our necks in it. The new head of our Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) is the granddaughter of Constantine Dobrowolski, a long deceased Ukrainian soldier who served with the SS during WW2. She goes by the name of Blaise Metreweli but that is the surname of her mother’s second husband David, a Georgian. Her father’s surname was Dobrowolski however he later changed it to that of his stepfather. She’s a strange choice indeed. Stranger still is UK foreign policy in Eurasia since the reign of Queen Victoria.
We constantly being told that Russia is our enemy yet, as you say, we have been their enemy for a very long time. A time encompassing their Empire, the Soviet Union and now the Federation. We aren’t alone there either, France, Germany, Poland, Turkey and any number of Stans have had a go at one time or another. It seems to be an obsession.
