19. Brize Norton – we used to have something called Bikini alerts, low to high: white, black, amber, red. When my base got an amber weapons would be loaded with live rounds. That system has changed and are now called UK Threat Levels, which are: low, moderate. substantial, severe, critical. The way things are geopolitically I would have thought RAF Brize Norton was on substantial: an attack likely. After what happened with two rank amateurs on e-scooters rolling around the airfield, damaging strategic assets as they went, the station chief should be relieved of her command.
