The way I see it … the Wokerati comprise:

• The old lefty boomers from the 60s, esp. women … purple hair is a sign
• Violent left males of all ages
• Young brainwashed females who are total loonies

Can’t call the young “non-tech-savvy” but the old left … definitely. The MSM and some sort of boomer memory of obedience keeps all of them locked into the mindset.

What about us … all of our lot, whether War gen, Boomer, Gen X or Gen Zee … why are we so in tune with one another on right and wrong? Male and female on our side … judging by all the tweets etc. Across nations, whilst still supporting our culture, heritage? How can we, across that wide demographic range, come to roughly the same conclusions?

I feel zero affinity with the Wokerati or politically naive normies … I feel great affinity with this subset of the west which seems to see through things. Puzzling.

Review:

”1929’s “The Greene Murder Case” was the second of three early talkie Paramounts starring William Powell as Philo Vance, coming six months after the first, “The Canary Murder Case,” eight months before the third, “The Benson Murder Case.” Storywise, it’s perhaps the best of all three, while technically it’s a huge improvement on its predecessor, the pacing agreeable, the acting more natural, and Powell again joined by District Attorney Markham (E. H. Calvert) and Sgt. Ernest Heath (Eugene Palette). Also returning as a different character is young Jean Arthur, in a far more substantial role than her cameo in “The Canary Murder Case.” The Greene household, consisting of bedridden matriarch and four offspring, are beholden to the will of the late patriarch Tobias Greene, requiring everyone to remain under the same roof for 15 years before the estate can be divided evenly between them. One dark midnight, both Chester (Lowell Drew) and Ada (Jean Arthur) end up shot (Chester fatally), but the robbery motive piques the curiosity of Philo Vance, particularly as the two shots were fired minutes apart. Always intrigued by the psychological aspects of each case, Vance has his hands full under this roof, where Tobias kept an extensive library on the history of crime. He may wind up solving this one by having only one suspect left! Florence Eldridge (Mrs. Fredric March) is an assured scene stealer, but her doctor boyfriend is played by dull as dishwater Ullrich Haupt (hard to believe that two women would be interested in him). Powell is far more involved here, and his amusing rapport with Eugene Palette never goes over the top. Struggling in a role few actresses could credibly pull off, beautiful Jean Arthur was still an unknown quality at the time, but remained one of Powell’s favorite leading ladies (later seen to best advantage in “The Ex-Mrs. Bradford”).”

*Law enforcement appears to have assassin suspect Vance Boelter in custody in a field in Sibley County. According to radio traffic, he was tracked into the woods. When a drone flew overhead he put his hands in the air and walked toward officers in a SWAT vehicle.

*Multiple sources say he was spotted near a residence in Green Isle and began running down a driveway into the woods, wearing all black with a backpack. At one point he was tucked in the fetal position and then began to army crawl until he eventually stood up to surrender.

“I had the relatively unusual experience of watching this dramatisation very shortly after listening to Ian Carmichael’s reading of the audiobook of “Clouds of Witness”, and was struck by the virtual absence of departures from the source material. As this is rare for TV/film adaptations, I do consider it worth mentioning. As with at least one other reviewer here, I found Lady Mary Wimsey’s portrayal distracting at best, annoying at times, and unsure whether to blame actress or director, so will split the difference by mentally sharing responsibility between the two. Apart from the apparent age difference between Ian Carmichael and Lord Peter (which he himself notes on occasion), his performance of the role is extremely good, owing in large part, I suspect, to his familiarity with the source material and long championing of this series, of which I only recently learned. There is much to be said for labors of love, and clearly, this is one. The DVD set also includes “The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club”, plus an interview conducted in 2000 with Carmichael and additional information about his career and that of author Dorothy L. Sayers.”

I do assure you it’s not lack of interest … have to admire AKH who answers each person but that’s Blgr’s good comments format … this WP font is too small in comments and can’t be altered, I’ve tried … might be a function of this old theme.

Why not change themes? There’s nothing better on offer, giving all the required functionality. So a comment by me might look something like this:
