There’ve been strange things happening … weird scenes inside the goldmine. On X today, one lady Xer, part of the daily X rounds … there were no posts of hers since April 25th … yesterday there was the current plus all previous posts.
She thought it strange … however, she too had noticed weird things happening overall. Just now, I went to sign into HQ and got this:
Rather than rant about it, it’s more 🤔. I do know about certificates, which it says I don’t have … it’s possible one has lapsed, I’m going to have to ask my tech man about it. Thing is … I got into the site myself without issue … but so might have a scriptkiddy or two from a major platform have done so, to wreak a bit of havoc.
Why? Well, two reasons … firstly, everyone of our point of view who’s a pundit has reported strange things … I’m thinking they don’t want things talked about … the second being me personally … that notice was for me, not for you … but as our readers, it’s only fair you’re aware.
Action? As admin, I’ll explore and monitor but if you feel caution is the better part of valour, that’s understandable. Also, I may need to go to UHCWP for awhile, which puts us more directly under control.

If you’ve made it here, then I’m going to advise that UHC is the main site just for now … two of our chaps opted to visit and comment … it’s up to you.
My cunning plan is to run Unherdables over there from 1700 today until 0500 tomorrow morning … I’ll signpost over there, whether or not the site is fixed.
It’s also not a bad trial run for what might happen permanently in June or a bit later … I wrote a post on it you might recall. If regulars know that if there’s a glitch longer than an hour at HQ, then first checkpoint is UHC-WP, second is NOWP, third is Jstack, fourth OoL, finally a comment under one of Julia’s posts at her place if everything else falls through … then all seems covered.
So, I’m heading over to UHC-WP now … hoping NOWP will still be in operation as well.

The danger is in becoming just a paid talking head, as they are in the MSM. Our goal is shirley to build a list of down to earth guys and gals looking at minutiae but the downside of that is they’re human, flawed … we don’t know what will happen with them. We can but hope and pray they keep going.

1. Housekeeping and op ed of sorts
Decades ago, eons ago, I had a headmaster in charge whom many, esp. the more vicious women, saw as weak … he’d sit on the fence, ‘gathering data’ he called it, before deciding. It came over as weak. Pity, because it was only a bleedin’ school, meant to operate as … um, er … as a school, not as a warzone.
In short, he was ‘nice’ but not dim … educated chappy … you’ve gathered we got along. The female rottweilers did for him and one of them became the new head. I wrote to her, saying I planned to show her exactly the same loyalty she’d shown our former leader.
A coordinator/redactor/chief cook and bottle washer, whatever you label this job as … he needs to combine two things … the velvet glove, yes … but also the iron fist. That former leader in that school lacked the killer instinct. In my case, I do my utmost to keep the monster within me tethered but occasionally one must act … and this is one such case.
I watched DM winding up CM (see Scriblerus list) the other day, was going to wade in but didn’t … but I saw CM take the bait. Pity. Yesterday, I deleted DM’s post on ‘Americans’ for two reasons … one being it was a commemoration, not the usual socio-political fayre we’re into.
Actually, he was not wrong in his thesis, which called out every American leader since WW2 for empire building and attempting to be the world policeman … whatever happened to Monroe (?) but here we get to the second reason for deleting … the place for that was in one of these posts, not on a Memorial post. Same goes for a service at our Cenotaph, same goes for any remembrance of any rank and file, those making the sacrifices.
Whether it’s our boys here (girls too) or across the pond … same level of respect please. On July 14th, respect for the ordinary Frenchman who would be in the Bastille or in the trenches or in the resistance. Respect for the ordinary German trying to kill our ordinary Tommies. It’s Them above, that lot … the Macaroni hubby v hubby type … the Schulzes, Soroses, von Leyens etc. … that’s where we concentrate our withering fire … not upon our own lot down here.
Lastly, we are assuredly in a war and one skill we must develop is not to engage when there’s little advantage in it for our mission or project. For a start, this site categorically does not engage with the Wokerati or globopsycho … their aim is to provoke, upset, delay, ruin, their agenda is clear enough … we’ll engage all right, terminally for them … but when the time is auspicious.
Meanwhile, chaps and chapesses … eyes on the main game, eh?
