Have we had this before, it is three days old. Richard Vobes interviewing Andrew B, ex MP, who speaks at length very frankly about what he believes is going on. | https://youtu.be/eM4rA_rZslo?si=xy-dapMMR3lvLgfX

Now here’s another perfect example of a mental blank on my (JH’s) part … it was fully my intention to post a new post yesterday afternoon at NOWP. Something … er … did not happen in the mind and there are 13 replies, with possibly DAD’s coming up.
Anyway, take it away, Steve:

2. One mind which so many are attempting to fathom
… is Sir Bring Home the Sausages who, aside from being a highly unpleasant person, holding quite vile opinions within politics, is fully committed to suppressing the slightest dissent:

… which immediately does jog the memory:

1. Blanks in the mind
There are things which, though we learnt about them, though we’re knowledgeable about them up to a point, still result in “absentmindedness” from time to time … or even over and over.
An example for me is that there’s not the slightest issue with when and how to use “there, their, they’re” in a sentence, yet still I am constantly writing the wrong variant and having to fix the error in the proofing.
Another is that no matter how many times they’re explained … we do follow, do understand, we can even give speeches on’t … next time we’re quite poor at grasping it. Three for me are names of flora/fauna, birthdays and circuits:

Excellent post and comments at Mark’s, it makes all the sense in the world … and yet my mind still goes blank, drops out on the topic. On the other hand, I have many birthdays written down and there’s one today for a Scriblerus blogger just above Scrobs in the list. Why am I good at remembering bdays? I’m not, I’m woeful at it but the reminder pings and there it is.
The next thing which happens, of course, is that the lady or chap is hurt, feels I just don’t care … but I DO care, I really DO wish to recall … but it’s a blank I’m afraid. There’s some failure to retain in the brain, not unlike the Wokeleft or Globopsychos who are shown all the evidence over time … but in those cases, it’s more like bloodymindedness.
