Saturday [17 till close of play]

(1629) Almost good evening, weekenders.

21. What the hell* happened in Australia?

*Hell is an appropriate description of where that land’s going:

She pinpointed it on Apr 30. Today, the horror of a landslide labour victory, the Lib (Tory) leader losing his seat, not unlike Poiviere, has eventuated. I did not follow the Oz election closely so don’t know why Dutton the CINO was so ineffectual, almost as if ordered to be. Why was Poiviere so bad too?

In the UK, Badenough was useless but there was a charmer with a good TV manner and a moneyed campaign. Never mind his behaviour, people were hoping against hope. NZ … why on earth did they put Ardern in? Why Macaroon?

The power of the media, TV, over normies is complete it seems.

19. DAD runs this by MTG

I represent the base and when I’m frustrated and upset over the direction of things, you better be clear, the base is not happy. I campaigned for no more foreign wars. And now we are supposedly on the verge of going to war with Iran. I don’t think we should be bombing foreign countries on behalf of other foreign countries especially when they have their own nuclear weapons and massive military strength.

And on top of that, now we are told that we have signed a deal for mineral rights in Ukraine, in order to pay us back for the hundreds of billions of dollars that we gave Ukraine and they used for money laundering, sold the weapons we gave them to our enemies, and their leader is a dictator who canceled elections, was involved in the first impeachment of Trump, and campaigned for Biden.

Didn’t we learn our lesson when we went to war in Iraq and killed Saddam Hussein because of “weapons of mass destruction?” Did we ever find any? And did any of that oil over in the Middle East make us rich? The answer is no, we are $36 trillion in debt today.

So why on earth would we go over and occupy Ukraine and spend an untold amount of future American taxpayer dollars defending and mining their minerals as well as potentially putting American lives at risk and future war? Why don’t we just mine our own rare earth minerals that are tied up on federal lands that the government confiscated years ago?

I also campaigned on accountability for the communist and tyrannical acts made by the government during Covid. Yet the Covid vaccine still has FDA approval even though there are millions reported injuries and deaths, and this mRNA vaccine is known to have horrific side effects and DOES NOT STOP PEOPLE FROM CATCHING COVID. And to this day, it’s still on the childhood vaccine schedule, why on earth is this happening? Hasn’t big pharma made enough billions and billions and billions of dollars on this lie?

I also campaigned on accountability for all the lawfare that was waged against the American people in the past four years. What about all the people that were locked up in jail and the abuse that they went through? And when are those vicious attorneys and judges ever going to be held accountable for the lives they ruined?

And I campaigned for an end to waste fraud and abuse of the American people’s harder tax dollars. I believe the DOGE mission is one of the most important things happening today in our government, and yet where are the rescissions that we should be voting on in Congress?

And one of the biggest issues in the nation that I have fought for, and early on I was one of the only ones that took a loud screaming stand against, is the evil transgender assault against our children. Most normal people in this country can’t even comprehend how it’s allowed to happen to kids who by law can’t even get a tattoo, drive, or vote.

And how did so many of our teachers turn into the predators themselves that groom children with gender lies? This should be an all out effort by Republicans to end this insanity. And look at the extreme nature of our rogue judicial system that is so defiant that there are judges that defy our nation’s laws and block the deportation of literal enemies of the United States of America. Where is the outrage and moral courage to dispose of this treason? Sadly not in Congress.

And what about election integrity? This should be the most important issue that the Republicans aggressively fight to protect because without secure elections protected from illegals voting and protections from stealing our votes, the American people have lost their power. When you are losing MTG, you are losing the base. And Trump isn’t on the ballot in the future, so do the math on that.

12. Vox, Crimea, the EU

Speaking to the Financial Times on Thursday, Kallas, the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, claimed that “Crimea is Ukraine,” adding that “no EU country would accept recognition of Crimea as Russia.”

There’s the easy out. A European nation just has to recognize Crimea as Russian, which it obviously is, and thereby render itself a non-EU country. I assume the Russians would be more than happy to defend the rights of any such sovereign ex-EU state.

Saturday [9 to 11]

(1023) In the curious position just now of a surfeit of feature vids exceeding straight politika, though that continues of course. (1114)

11. Just a bit of housekeeping – time sensitivity

  • Either the material has vastly increased or I’m ageing faster but it’s taking far longer now, plus the eyesight is showing not good signs.
  • Summer almost certainly will disrupt the blog(ging) due to govt action and I’ve been warning about that … it starts in June, through to late August … it’s an unknown-unknown which may well mean the end of this blog, at least for some time.
  • Another reason it’s taking longer to compose posts includes the WP/ipadair composing set up being iffy in some ways and playing up on me behind the scenes … even this post has unnecessary issues. Plus the ageing etc. already mentioned, inc. eyesight more at a premium now.
  • Things being laid on me externally … those within our camp are fine, such as our patrons’ drops, our readers … they keep us running, they’re our lifeline (more more more please). Some though I just can’t currently take on … for example, a good friend for decades is shaping to lay a proofreading job on me which I’m not sure I can take on right now … proofing non English native speaking books can double or triple the time required and this is not the time … summer might be better, shall see. Spirit is willing but the flesh …
  • Related to that … I’ve started proofing my own “semi-fiction” as I have a feeling I’m not going to be able to after August … I can go at a fair pace with that … and I’d need to.
  • RL house/abode issues are also crowding in, which lil ole me needeth not … govt yet again! Nor do any of us here need such things.

Why lay all this on those dropping in here to read these rantings? Forewarning really … I daresay you’ll also have added commitments … health related, vacances etc.

One thing it’s confirming, underscoring, is that the linear blog format is best, rather than a complex page layout … WYSIWYG, then it drops off the page, no archiving except that it’s its own archive … NOWP as well.

10. IYE (the real one) re-emerges

Hope you are all having a lovely May so far. 🙂

Fwiw, I’m a one man band. Not in the pay or thrall to any ooman. 😉

9. Airline safety

Years back, after some crashes, tails falling off etc., I ran a few posts at N.O. on Airbus being unsafe … camel designed by a committee etc. … which caused a few readers, e.g. Ivan, to be incensed.

I can’t recall if it was the A-380 or some other, plus the stories seem to have died away … maybe it was not the A-380 after all, so don’t go quoting me. Anyway, then the Boeing issues started, seen at the end of this blurb:

It’s worth noting that the DC-10 was the first airliner produced after the McDonnell and Douglas aircraft corporations merged. The management from McDonnell directed that the plane be produced on a tight budget. This saw technology being recycled from the DC-8 and various aspects of production of the DC-10 being contracted to other companies.

This included the production of the fuselage that was contracted to Convair, who was forbidden from directly contacting the FAA even over safety concerns.

Hold on, two aerospace companies merging and then facing controversy over building their planes for cheap? Where have we heard that before…

I also saw this, this morning:

Saturday [5 to 8]

(0720) Let’s pack in a few more polit items, then a DAD special. (0747)

8. This one mentioned earlier

7. Warning readers that this next one is dismaying

6. Another Laura-ism

5. This is the point of view of my particular ideological gang

Political positions are like points dotted all over the graph … we’re rarely going to wholly coincide. Best we can hope for is to be reasonably well aligned on most points … sadly, the Nigel-cultists who just scored those local successes yesterday … good luck, as Rupert said, we’re aligned on many points … but important points are still being ignored all the same.

Saturday [1 to 4]

(0509) Morning all. First light, in the sense of seeing the shape of clouds out there, not tripping over inside, was 0443 today. Right now, objects becoming delineated inside. Health ok at this end. (0719)

2. DAD at 1037

a) France is really a ‘Narco-state’. Drug traffickers have placed a contract on the head of Michaël Delafosse, mayor and president of the Montpellier Metropolitan Area. The judicial police are investigating.

b) According to ‘Le Figaro’, senior civil servant Céline Cléber has published, under the pseudonym Douce France (Toucan), a political fiction novel in which France is “gradually falling under the blows of a small minority of violent extremists,” while “the authorities, paralyzed by fear, are unable to stem the conflict.”

c) In the Gard department, as elsewhere in France, violent incidents are on the rise. The department’s leading police union has issued an alarming assessment. “It’s a catastrophe, the world is going completely mad.” With these words, the Alliance Police Nationale union sums up a situation deemed increasingly untenable.

1. Prophets and false prophets

If I might divide the online world into three categories … user, super-user, techie … someone in my position is eventually drawn into cat2, which can also be defined as “a certain amount of knowledge is dangerous, so be doubly careful and become humble”.

In the political online world, the prime imperative is sources, as there abound false prophets, deliberately placed there to mislead the normies … but then there are sources which clearly have an inside track, e.g. Loomer, Amuse, Publius … these do know their stuff and have a staff to boot. Laura’s pretending she’s hiring right now (as if she had no one helping before) but in fact she’s had money and funds for a long time. So what, ask I? She fills her niche, end of, imho.

Now, to answer the reasonably oft asked question of who’s who at unherdables, DAD and Steve are what it says on the box. IYE is more cagey and he needs to be too, given the material, Juan appeared briefly, now we have Redacted. Afa I can tell, from IP, email and other clues, they are not the same. My attitude is so what if any two are the same, cleverly done because one might be techie level. Look, we all need to protect ourselves but also be transparent in my case.

A ggl blgr site admin cannot see IP or email but ggl can. A WP site admin can see IP and email. Don’t forget that IPs can change … ours are set to do as we wish at Unherdables, often compensating for the provider. A core pillar here, across all nourishing unherdable, plus OoL, is that no personal data is divulged to anyone by me, ever, but that doesn’t mean ggl and WP don’t have their own methods … also beware of substack.

There is VPN, encrypted, various other methods … very good but they also invite the wrong attention. We write in plain here, euphemising a bit … also in plain. That is a deliberate policy.

Coming back to trusted sources, if you see this format:

… or this:

… you will soon pick up who it is and they’ve proved pretty sound so far … they do know. Ditto Publius and Laura. As for Institute of Peace, beware of any organisation with unexplained feelgood words such as Peace, Democracy, Freedom, Equity in the org name, plus plenty of slickness and money behind them.

Also watch for symbolism at their HQ, also opaque “About” sections … with no names, just bureau-drivel … such as Homeland Party in the UK. Beware. With Redacted, who might just be a good lad with an interesting way of writing, note he uses G-d … that’s a specific usage, I used to employ it too.

You’ll see other names reposting, such as Vicky, Sarah. Vicky’s an original Kipper, TBP, then Reform, most suspicious of Farage now .. she’s a good gal. If you see Sarah reposting, it’s usually Alberta or who killed the Shermans. And so it continues, good readers.
