… the way to counter the imported alien army is to employ seafaring tactics:
To summarise some of main pluses:
- Symmetrical and shallow draft, allowing reversing direction in rivers
- We’re used to one sail but two are more useful for modern crews
- Sail and oars
- Separate prefab shelters around the boat as per needs
- Clinker or carvel built
- 60 feet, crew of 6 sounds good, war vessels 100 feet, crew of ten
- Can stay long periods in international waters or at remote locations
Downside cost and upkeep. Just thoughts, that’s all.
