Thursday morning we went for a walk and I saw a gorgeous bank of primroses, so I had to take a photo for you all.
And the day before, I’d noticed that our ornamental cherry tree, which is blossoming like crazy, had a little bunch of flowers near the base of the trunk. No branch, just a bouquet of flowers. It looked very cute:

The bouquet growing from the base of the tree is cute, alright. The primroses are sweet too. If one but looks, so much can be seen in a square foot…or whatever the metrics say…sq kilometer or something 🤭! Sq foot just sounds nice to me.
My mother had an ornamental cherry tree. If it produced flowers I cannot recall. We always hoped. It is too something or not enough of another something way down here for that kind of tree.
There were plenty of other tress, bushes and plants, grasses in her domain. She had the knack like you have. I was always so pleased to turn onto the street for home to see our big corner lot festooned with life….tasteful and yet free form….with her guiding hand and God’s blessing.
