20. Rolf sums it up nicely

Here

“The State has rejected the call for a fresh national enquiry – one that would have the power to compel witnesses. A reason given is that there has already been one such, looking into child sexual exploitation in broad terms, that reported in 2022.

However what concerns many of the public is the specific issue of wholesale organised abuse by groups of men largely of Pakistani heritage. It is felt that close examination would reveal that police, social workers and local politicians were aware of these outrages and chose to cover them up or even, in effect, help and abet them.”

15. Ladies on the march

I’ve read a lot by X and other pundits about those typing and posting Xes not “achieving” anything for girls and women … this is usually said by men, inc. Rupert.

I must humbly and respectfully disagree … enough women and girls became vocal, from Riley Gaines across the pond to Sammy here, plus that fencer, and it moved certain men, e.g. Rupert, to fight for the gals. I’m personally delighted … females are good at such things … so go for it, gals.

I mean … what do you want them to do … fight in the street?

Give em hell, girls … delighted to see this.

  1. News coming through, to me anyway, of a fatal helicopter crash in New York. A family of five and the pilot all perished as the aircraft plunged into the Hudson.

    ……

JH: Yes, saw it, Andy … not good.

    • It would appear the helicopter broke up in the air with the blades flying off in all directions. Massive mechanical failure which isn’t survivable. I’ve been in two forced landings in helicopters. The first was in the Highlands when the RAF Puma we were in lost power and the pilot did that autorotation thing and landed in a glen. We dropped 5000 ft but you wouldn’t call it a crash he was that good. The second was shortly after take off when the gearbox failed on a Sea King Commando. Too low to autorotate the Royal Navy pilot had no choice really so we braced, hit the snow (it was Norway) and got out quick. We’d dropped about 30 ft so there was some damage to the undercarriage.

      ……

      JH: Yikes!
