11. Some sort of op ed

Did the reveille, two minutes silence, rouse thing around 11 a.m., parents’ photos out, candle, usual thing.

Was thinking though … just how long do we commemorate all these things? We commemorated Agincourt not long ago, you’ll recall. 1066? Looking at my parents today, would have been over 100 … I’m thinking it needs to be till the day I die … it just seems meet and right.

What would they think of their son today? Was in tight corners many times, was even on route marches, but never in a Uke type meat grinder. I’ve been through two recessions … one in Russia in 98, one here in 08, only twice unemployed … nothing like the hell my parents saw … they did all they could to spare me hell on earth.

Anyway, we have sunshine today, you have a good one now. Washing to hang out. Am concerned about quite a few friends, more than usual … both men and women but esp. women … the gals seem to be going down with the lurgy sommit awful … Julia not wel, I can name many others, the darlings.

Warmth at all times, liquids, nutrients, keep the body moving, heaps of sleep … you know the score. Prayers for others, them for you.

10. Housekeeping at NOWP and here

Going to separate “Housekeeping”, which is cyber and blog things, from Some Sort of Op Ed, which might be reflections on life or the past week.

Remember OoL is ggl, these things are happening more and more … some laddies and lasses have issues on other platforms. Way too complicated to sort out exactly where the glitches are. In some cases, it’s the platform protecting me … I’m on normal security, not high.

At HQ here, I’m getting spam but not a lot … Akismet’s doing its thang. All up, compared to many colleagues, acquaintances, friends, we’re doing all right. Watch trigger words though … it is a factor.
