(0446) Morning all … seems bleah out there, as the sun attempts to stir.

The raising of Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha

Really difficult editing decision this morning, at 04:20 a.m. … two leading posts, one to go up at Orphans, one at Unherdables. As I wrote at Orphans:

“One is about slavery, quoting Unherdable commenters not all that well known at Orphans … the other about a London girl’s lament … the theme is a known-known but her Gen Z post might not sit well with older and/or libertarian readers … plus the Unherdable churchgoing and cultural Christians can easily come in firing, saying there you are, you see … poor upbringing, abandoning the underpinning faith … reap the bitter harvest.”

Here goes:

The major plus for us in this quote on X below is that it’s pure Brit Gen Zee and that’s still a rarity, esp. when she’s of that type of schooling … very southern, upper middle Brexity, not unlike the Grant sisters … a newer phenomenon on X, one of our granddaughters you might say … but but but …

… oh dear, some of what she openly writes is worrying to grandfather types like us older males:

So, while we might look at her and think … yeah, protect girls, teach your children well, all the other noble thoughts flooding in … what’s Charlie’s prime concern? Being unable to go out in town at night and get drunk and dissolute, maybe laid … really great summum bonum for her and her generation.

Some of you might recall Pulp in 1995 and Common People … and the lines:

“I wanna live like common people
I wanna do whatever common people do
Wanna sleep with common people
I wanna sleep with common people like you.”

Well, what else could I do?
I said, “I’ll… I’ll see what I can do.”

And then dance, and drink, and screw
Because there’s nothing else to do.

Come in please, “Christians”, even “cultural Christians” … what a sad commentary on the THOT culture … nothing noble, nothing worth defending, nothing worth fighting for anymore, no elegance, no virtue. No fathers in families … you know the whole package.

Just a Whimsey

The Bellona Club was a good episode but imho, this one is better over the distance, plus it does not stray into that offputting female academic Harriet Vane Gaudy Night feminazism rubbish … said lady being far too full of herself and unpleasant for mine.

Trouble with this one is the quality of the copies … first is good that way until near the end when they pull that muted sound stunt, the second is a poor copy but needs to be waded through to get to the third … the fourth is not too bad.

The criticism of Ian Carmichael in this role is that he’s too OTT with the foppishness and there are certain times when … well, enough of that. Enjoy if possible.

Monday [11 to 13]

(1127) Cunning plan is this post, then the first and second of the four Peter Wimsey parts, maybe a quiz later in the afternoon. Can say though that Ladies at Lunchtime is in hibernation for the moment, no plans in that direction. (1139)

7. The serious overkill of thug plod

Consider:

Allison would know, having had them at her door, only saved by the intervention of The Telegraph. The obvious question is why … why such relish by thug plod, why such delight in throwing themselves into the thuggery?

Part of it is what Jethro Tull sang: “that lets you bend the rules”. When you have a largely infantilised population due to cradle to grave bullying, you create a compliant population ready to march off to war when the Beloved Leader calls … otherwise staying right out of trouble, mateys. When the beloved leadership are in fact coke-snorting deviants into a bit of human flesh eating, and the people have no one to revere … plus those people flatly refuse to invoke John 3:16, which would at least give them a spine of sorts …

… then you have an Eloi situation … at the mercy of the Morlock boss, Jeremy Irons in blue. The Morlocks are thug plod.

You can always gauge the relative strength of a person by giving her/him power and watching how it’s either judiciously used … or rampantly abused. People who’ve been powerless, suddenly elevated and given untold power over others … watch them closely. Blair, Rachel from accounts, Biden, Letitia James.

1. Justin with a poignant opening conundrum

“The moment Kamala Harris lost the election, Biden began sending Democrat-aligned NGOs & companies $1.3 billion per day, almost $100 billion before Trump took office. In the prior 15 years the same loan office gave out just $40 billion, just $8 million a day.”

(sorry, JH. I haven’t yet found another source to corroborate this)

This was posted by Amuse:

DOGE: This is insane. The moment Kamala Harris lost the election, Biden began sending Democrat-aligned NGOs & companies $1.3 billion per day, almost $100 billion before Trump took office. In the prior 15 years the same loan office gave out just $40 billion, just $8 million a day. This was theft on a scale the world has never seen before. Trump needs to claw this money back.”

Now, reading the last line of Justin first, anout reliability of the source through corroboration, this is where round table discussion helps, despite it not being action in itself:

And there’s the rub … the VGX comment strikes me as being one of us mid to lower pundits, whereas Amuse has access to DOGE afa I can see … has done for quite some time, despite the lighthearted moniker. Ditto with Publius. The copy posted, plus the sort of language, seems to have an inside lane at least.

My point is that not all comment is equal, nor is it free … it’s as loaded as the next person’s. In our minds as readers, we need to ascribe “weight” to this source or that.

Why, if it achieves nothing, as VGX despaired?

Well, it does achieve, en masse … see the moves of the Uniparty branches in the UK, vis-a-vis Reform and MAGA in the States. All kabuki theatre? Yes, but they still gauge audience. Plus:

Street demonstration? Only en masse, which means demonrat type organisation and bussing. Plus ringleaders or “thought influencers” are picked off at random by thug plod.

Seems to me that irregular warfare is the only chance until the cavalry arrives. Also, I saw the argument that Christians, being not of this world but the next, should do nothing. Well for a start … does it mean in general or does it mean in the face of direct evil coming at your children? I’d argue that if bulls are charging at us, we need to act quickly, in an irregular way.

Plus, if we’re going to cherrypick verses, howabout the one about rendering unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s. Plus the srgument thst if you have a nation built on Christian, biblical precepts, which gives individual choice whether to belueve of not … and that is supported by classical Greek pundits of the time … well, you see where I’m going here.

What I would say is, largely, keep your powder dry, with plenty in reserve, for the big push. Juss thoughts.
