Wednesday [1 to 4]

(0425) Busy day coming up at this end. MMutR coming and we’ll sort the world’s probs over tea … late morn, elevenses on, so film around that time. (0532)

4. DAD’s just dropped over at 1047

a) In a display of foreign policy independence, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni chose not to attend the summit held in Kyiv on Saturday *

b) The Tit-for-Tat between France and Algeria continues…..The Algerian authorities demanded, on May 11, the immediate repatriation of 15 French agents recently sent as temporary reinforcements, particularly in the visa sector.

c) Slowly, slowly the wheels are coming off the ‘Green Agenda’. Norwegian energy company, Statkraft, announced it is putting on hold all development of new projects for producing “green hydrogen”.

d) A Dutch couple, Ronny van Unen (72) and Saskia Scheltes (66), were refused Swiss nationality by the municipality of Unteriberg, near Zurich, despite twenty years of residence, a perfect command of German and a clean criminal record.

……

*Significant.

3. An example, with Steve

… as to the strange way the Higham brain operates. The Keith Woods link gave:

Yes indeed. The second link was a rerun of the one I posted yesterday, of the families being that … families, not fighting age thug men. The third link had one of the unmentionables and as I’m having early brek, no way reposting the creep’s pic. That’s the sort of redacting decision on the fly.

Steve has an earlier comment on same as well. Plus he runs Colin Rugg, who writes:

“MSNBC’s Yamiche Alcindor hyperventilates over the White South Africans who were granted refugee status by Trump.”

Ok, now we might differ but I have no desire in reposting this Alcindor creature … point’s been made, ok? Colin himself … different matter of course.

2. Housekeeping

How to use comments to our advantage has sensitivities attached … namely, why are some comments left as comments, some are re-run in posts? Wish I knew myself … to a point, it’s trusted regulars, it’s also links rather than just a short thought on a matter, and not all links are reposted, mainly for cybersecurity but also for other reasons.

I assure you it’s not favouritism, not completely … it’s more a case of does it take us further? Justin’s dad I did not repost, Redacted I’m about to look at those links. Steve is a bit more difficult … he links to X, which is good for Xers like me, gives me sshootable quotes to run … but not much use to non-Xers as a link, so they stay in comments.

There’s no hard and fast rule, other than … does it move us forrader or what, for me to repost? Each and every time. Is it best read in situ in comments? And so on.

1. IYE and the topic of catharsis

Some Cringe lunacy seems apt for a full moon.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCtqh5MZejI

It’s Grifty, not running it expanded for safety reasons but it illustrates something about the way I misuse the word catharsis … broaden it to mean general reluef, relaxation, to have a break from the fray. I for one have a number of such ladies in “lullaby crazy” mode but apparently my voice too can knock people out, though in my case, it’s probably through sheer boredom … bore y’all to sleep.

It’s one of the reasons I’m keen to run Chris Spargo (Twinning for example) and running mini-landscapes in the sidebar. Ruairidh is more for info-hunger. But readers, we do need a break. AKH is another, so is the estimable Churchmouse. Once you realise that that is a fine outlet there on the topics of the day … well, we need those things … here are Dearieme, followed by CM:

The depth of info at CM’s makes it a must read imho. Sackerson and Rolf Norfolk are the same person … he does not comment here as a rule but he does read. He and I go way back in time and adventures.

13. Empathy and other -pathies

According to Vox Day:

Vox maintains that women can’t feel empathy … I suspect he means with her male of the moment … but motherhood shirley increases her ability to empathise with children and she’s always felt the pain of the bird with a broken wing … just not for her man until many years have passed … and of course if he cares little, is solipsistic himself … well it’s an empathy killer.

By all means tell me I’m kidding myself but I do disagree with Vox and quoted blogger … maybe it’s a mix of the first three on the list that I’ve seen over and over by certain females in my life. Again I might be kidding myself but I do not have a jaundiced view of women who are as good as any we’re likely to encounter.

a) Panic in Paris. French President Emmanuel Macron’s office is aggressively batting down a viral rumor that he brought cocaine aboard a train to [the] Ukraine…..

b) The EU Commission’s fake consultation to justify LGBT policy…..

c) Strange happening at Lagny-sur-Marne for the second year running. A man approaches the War Memorial; lifts a wreath, steps back a few paces and, then, replaces the wreath.….

d) Last week-end happenings took place in some fifty cities across France to demand care and to reject euthanasia.….

2. IYE on Mon 14 till close

“The Episcopal Church is ending its long-standing collaboration with the federal government on refugee resettlement programs due to its objections to resettling white Afrikaners from South Africa.

A May 12 letter from presiding Anglican Bishop Sean W. Rowe says that the federal government informed the Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) that under its grant agreement, it would be expected to assist in resettling white Afrikaners. The church decided not to comply, reports RNS…..”

https://thepostmillennial.com/episcopal-church-refuses-to-resettle-white-south-africans-cuts-ties-with-trump

It’s dead easy to see how these Elders or Priestly Caste have twisted the entire thrust of “welcoming” to be mainly focussed on “welcoming evil, perversion and holocaust culture” … with the brainwashed Woke left utterly unable to see that this was NOT the meaning of that reminder in the gospels … to drop all defences against those who would destroy your family and you. That was most certainly not being taught.

Tuesday [1]

(0446) Morning all … seems bleah out there, as the sun attempts to stir.

The raising of Millennials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha

Really difficult editing decision this morning, at 04:20 a.m. … two leading posts, one to go up at Orphans, one at Unherdables. As I wrote at Orphans:

“One is about slavery, quoting Unherdable commenters not all that well known at Orphans … the other about a London girl’s lament … the theme is a known-known but her Gen Z post might not sit well with older and/or libertarian readers … plus the Unherdable churchgoing and cultural Christians can easily come in firing, saying there you are, you see … poor upbringing, abandoning the underpinning faith … reap the bitter harvest.”

Here goes:

The major plus for us in this quote on X below is that it’s pure Brit Gen Zee and that’s still a rarity, esp. when she’s of that type of schooling … very southern, upper middle Brexity, not unlike the Grant sisters … a newer phenomenon on X, one of our granddaughters you might say … but but but …

… oh dear, some of what she openly writes is worrying to grandfather types like us older males:

So, while we might look at her and think … yeah, protect girls, teach your children well, all the other noble thoughts flooding in … what’s Charlie’s prime concern? Being unable to go out in town at night and get drunk and dissolute, maybe laid … really great summum bonum for her and her generation.

Some of you might recall Pulp in 1995 and Common People … and the lines:

“I wanna live like common people
I wanna do whatever common people do
Wanna sleep with common people
I wanna sleep with common people like you.”

Well, what else could I do?
I said, “I’ll… I’ll see what I can do.”

And then dance, and drink, and screw
Because there’s nothing else to do.

Come in please, “Christians”, even “cultural Christians” … what a sad commentary on the THOT culture … nothing noble, nothing worth defending, nothing worth fighting for anymore, no elegance, no virtue. No fathers in families … you know the whole package.
