Thursday [1 to 5]
(0446) Overview is “pinned” to the top of the first post. (0554)
Overview: Two items after skimming down X, which leads to other sites: DC airline crash, RFK of course. As well, a reminder that EOs do eventually need backing by Congress … very little mentioned … plus the NHS here have expanded, not contracted DEI hires. First item below today is in-house, about formatting. There’s also this across at OoL: https://orphansofliberty.blogspot.com/2025/01/the-vaxx-conundrum.html .
5. Charity begins at home
Not sure if this a specifically Christian concept:

One thing for sure is you don’t destroy, lay waste to your home, to those depending on you, in order to help an outside enemy planning to destroy your family and community … and you look to your own destitute and unfortunate first.
4. Profligate wastage by the waste-of-space Woke-left

Rule n1 is not to let a DEI hire touch anything, n2 is not to let govt go anywhere near it … even something simple they’ll mess up and run into vast overspend on taxpayer money. As for privatising … it’s always greedy corporations using DEI hires or near slave labour who are awarded contracts.
3. The aircrash, at the time of posting this
… my question is which “important” (for Them) passengers were killed:

2. RFK Jr. was abused yesterday by the Senate demonrats
… but what’s new … they’re thick automatons tasked by the controllers to take RFK Jr. down any which way. Don’t know what’s so “astounding” about this:

And that RFK Jr. speech:

1. Some notes on formatting of HQ
Not changes as such, just explaining like.
The decision on whether to put up a screenshot or run text on an item depends, to a large extent, on timeframe … the RFK speech (Thurs 2) had to be saved as screenshot as I was not ready to run it yet, plus saving as text is poor on ipad … they play piddly, script-kiddy, rich-text games … easier just as a screenshot, then compressed (which app-costs in itself) … plus the font size is better for reader eyes on the shots … plus the re-colorising in light teal of parts of plain text for quoting/contrast takes far more time, e.g. with Steve/DAD in the mornings.
Downside is it “costs” far more in disk space for screenshots but that resource we’re rich in here … disk space … not though in the EE hub bottleneck, which “throttles” speed of usage for plebs like customers such as moi.
Solution is simply not to overload EE, the weakest link … our blog “backend” itself can handle a vast amount of data … the issue is the EE bottleneck.
To express that as overall “working time” for li’l ole me … to run standard text is disk-economical but it takes time … to run screenshots is not disk-economical against short text drops but as for a rant, screenshots are far more time-economical, e.g. the RFK in Thur 2.
Wednesday [25 till close of play]
(1750) Phew … we’ve had a bit of house drama here, sorted now, involved dog dos … sorry to mention that around tea time. 🙂
29. Quite agree on naval ships not being renamed
… to avoid offence … there’s history and gravitas behind those names. Though Boaty McBoatface was not for a naval vessel, it did illustrate the sad facetiousness of the Brit. Were another ship to require renaming, my suggestion is the solemn and grand Floaty McBoaty.
28. Anything to this do you think?

21. QHC
20. Laura Perrins
Laura’s the wilder, more forthright of the two founders, being Irish ’n all:
ON FRIDAY, Konstantin Kisin tweeted the following: ‘Something I’ve often wondered about: if “diversity is our greatest strength” why is it that we have to be reminded of that after every terrorist attack?’
The reason is that the governing powers – both left and right – really believe it. When they say diversity is our strength or, as Fraser Nelson would say, Britain has experienced an integration miracle, it’s because deep down in their heart of hearts, they think it is true. That’s how bad things are. That’s why things are the way they are and why it is so difficult to make any real change. This is how it goes these days in the West.
There is another diversity stabbing of children, three little girls in Southport, or the Afghan ‘asylum seeker’ who killed a two-year-old boy and seriously wounded other infants in the Bavarian town of Aschaffenburg, or the murder of 22 at an Ariana Grande show aimed at little girls, or the gang rape of girls in multiple towns, or the murder of journalists over a cartoon in a magazine, and before the bodies are cold we will be told that diversity is our strength.
We are told this because they believe it and you’d better believe it too. And if you don’t believe it, you will end up like Peter Lynch, rounded up by the Old Bill for not believing that diversity is our strength and then killing yourself in some Godforsaken British prison.
Sadly, we are controlled by the True Believers.

(0536) Item 11 is about a quite existential matter as far as reporting and journalism go. (0651)
14. Sometimes it does take a gal
We need Dutch Jim in 13, Homan, Donny, yes … but in comes a voice from a gal:

True, Lainey, true. There’s some middling path we should be navigating, not our place to play God, that’s His … but we do need this mix of ideas and directions, firmly excluding the destructive, such as Wokery.
13. Shanahan

12. Rate of deportations

My feeling is he’s one of us … as independently thinking as we can be, given that we too have our biases and a prioris.
11. Do we expose our heroes?
Not to put too fine a point on it … look at Karoline Leavitt’s invitation to invite real journalism to the Press Corp … first time since Chanel Rion … that’s both a privilege and a responsibility. In short, if we are the New Press, fearless and far-reaching, are we any better if we do not call our own?
This site Unherdables, more or less likes what DJT is doing overall but not some specifics, as pointed out yesterday. Yes, there is very much a specific here from Gab:

This Gab poster … is he Demrat, anti-Trump or more centrist, slightly for the rule of law? The item after this answers that better. But here he’s calling out Donny folly … imho quite rightly. Does that stymie or impede all the other initiatives? Should we stay shtum on’t? As with the poisoned vaxxes and all this warp speed bollox?

Congress Summons Far-left Sanctuary City Mayors to Testify at a Committee Hearing – Kristi Noem Joins ICE, US Marshals, and NYPD Special Ops in Raids – Tom Homan Declares War on Terrorist Cartels … Bessent Confirmed – Karoline Leavitt Comes Out Swinging – US Military into California – Iron Dome for America … Uke sit-rep – Deep Seek panic … Italy Takes Back Control – War on DEI … USAID Employees Placed On Leave – CDC ordered to stop working with WHO – lithium battery fire epidemic … much, much more of course at 952.
9. DAD at 953
French PM has stirred-up a hornet’s nest. In an interview with LCI on Monday, January 27, Prime Minister François Bayrou spoke of a “feeling of submersion” regarding immigration in France … Even though two thirds of the French people believe that immigration “is not an opportunity for France,” the government still finds it a necessity … The ‘Mona Lisa’ is being move inthe Louvre – is this is the reason? The Louvre in Paris, one of the world’s biggest and most famous museums, “is in a deplorable state of disrepair”, says one employee and union rep … Nice wants to get rid of its statue of Joan of Arc; Mátészalka in northeastern Hungary has offered to host … more detail at 953 of course.
Wednesday [1 to 8]
(0441) Morning all. First eight are about one topic we’re increasingly finding, bubbling away beneath the topic mentioned in each case. Steve and DAD will be in the next post. (0523)
8. For our boys

7. She’s our gal, so are Cynthia and Savanah

6. As for awful and insane low quality women
… Wendy being a great one by the way:

5. Welcome Karoline Leavitt, thank goodness

4. Drones

3. Great gal … keep hitting em, Chanel

2. The new pejorative

1. So as not not to keep you in suspenders
… straight to the point … we’re being flooded by women in the public space these days and if you look at DAD’s comment in the sidebar now about Melania, Steve’s about Natalie etc., the other chaps too … we all like “good” women who, to bring Dearieme in, are of good character, relatively sane, are not painted, tattooed trollops with false eyelashes or else pink pussy haired karens or this new word Margaret.
In short, if women are going to thrust themselves fwd as demi-men, coz they can never be proper men, nor can we ever be women, nor would we wish to be … as long as we all live in the age old reality, recognising our limitations, as Clint Eastwood said … then all is fine. I would add as long as we’re not an extreme patriarchy, because that’s as much of a pain in the A as this stoopid matriarchy with all its “policy shaped by misplaced feelings” … then things go sanely.
Throw in one’s, country, family, hard work, only ever being owed what we’ve earned, mutual civility, etc. etc. … with at least cultural Christianity underpinning it … I’d argue personal John 3:23 but let’s not quibble in this paragraph … and as long as some sort of chivalry does exist … then maybe we can stop the Bidens, Starmers, Blairs and Schultzes from getting their way.
The next seven items are dominated by the gals, as I call them, meaning “good” gals, not psycho-harpies with drak hair and massive egos … we boys don’t need much to be happy and if those gals wish to make the running, volubly, then Jason Bourne and us are happy enough to let them … gives us a break, plus it’s nice to see.
