(0540) There are today, on top of our two chaps’ early posts, three topics open, one of which I was arguing on X last night. All were left tabs-open as I crashed and had a good sleep but that meant that I have to address them in tabs-order now, in order not to lose them.
You see, something is indeed going on at X … forces at work, many are referring to it, mainly those people finding things out. Thus, DAD and Steve will be run a bit later this morning, and I must also say that it’s my OoL day today, which brings up an interesting conundrum in itself … which topics at which site-page?
This site, HQ, has vast amounts of space but it is tied to my real life. If my real life meets a sword of Damocles (quite possibly in two weeks), then the whole kaboodle disappears. NOWP is maybe the most low-key, having the least drama. UHC-WP has very little storage and is better as a prepared set of archives. Jstack is at the mercy of outside forces, as is OoL.
There’s no solution other than also having material on external hard disks, usb sticks distributed around the kingdom, or else you readers yourselves and your storage there. Plus dead-tree. My advice is to always back up … never have it in just the one place … one back-up is good, two is better, three might keep it safer. (0751)

d) Cherbourg-en-Cotentin (50): Over 8 tons of contraband tobacco seized in a truck loaded with potatoes. The driver received a one-year suspended prison sentence, a €50,000 fine, and a five-year ban from driving….

… plus Steve is running an ongoing series on them. Yet again, I must stress that you need to save things, archive them, at your own “facility”. We can present them at various places here but if we’re hit, what then? I’m suggesting we all need three things in this matter … a spine and a certain industriousness, a lack of demoralised laziness. All of us, not just me. Plus caution … not taking unnecessary risks through Light Brigade or Rorke’s Drift or Custer type, ill thought-out bravado.
- The highly influential Watson et al. study, absurdly claiming that the jabs saved tens of millions of lives in just one year, has been thoroughly debunked directly (with the critique reaching the FDA and the US Senate), and indirectly (and the attached comments show this one didn’t go far enough). Several other modelling studies have also been debunked.
- Both the American and Australian governments have acknowledged that the COVID-19 vaccines have killed people. Pretty much the same in the UK. No wonder authorities are starting to dial back vaccine recommendations, even acknowledging that for some the risks outweigh the benefits. It also looks very suspicious that the UK government apparently refused to publish data that could link COVID-19 vaccine to excess deaths.
