This is the n1 issue with our model at Unherdables … we are a news service with one exception in bias … we will not run Woke ideology. Therefore those largely onboard, say with 80% of what’s going on, can still fall out over that last 20%. This is the nature of finding things out.

It’s easy Hob.
The Security Service, aka MI5, do counter-espionage i.e. they are spy-catchers. So they operate overwhelmingly at home.
The Secret Intelligence Service, aka MI6, do espionage i.e. they spy. So they operate overwhelmingly abroad.
Bridgen says this new Head of MI6 plans to conduct covert attacks on Russia. I hope the FCO is questioning the wisdom of that. In the Second German War the two types of operation were kept apart. MI6 did spying, the SOE (Special Operations Executive) did covert attacks. Experience turned out to be that they often got in each other’s way not least because both would want to use the same foreigners.
I suspect it’s not axiomatic that MI6 trying to do both would work any better. Maybe the SAS could be used for covert attacks. Or, maybe we should consider the wisdom of covert attacks against a nuclear-armed nation that could squash us flat in half an hour. The fact that we might flatten Moscow and St Petersburg in retaliation would not be much of a consolation though I suppose Washington and Peking would enjoy a good laugh over it.
Anyway, suppose she does plan to conduct covert attacks. Why, in God’s name, is she blabbing about it in public?
19. Moosh corner – Westminster Bridge wouldn’t have looked like that if we’d have lost the Battle of Britain in 1940. Look at London now though; we lost it, or rather our despicable political class gave it away. That is never the end though, as John Paul Jones once said: “We have only just begun to fight”. That is our destiny, because if we don’t we’ll lose not just London but the whole damn country. There are reasons people fight..
