8. Yesterday’s film and some coming up
YT is notorious these days for pap … if it’s any good, YT culls it. I have a reserve of some non YT films from IYE and elsewhere but not many left now, even in repeat and I’d like them to last up till Christmas. There are, of course, Saint episodes, Poirots, Marples, even Baron.
Occasionally though, an unexpected gem of a theme comes up in the most unlikely way. Yesterday’s is rightly laughed along with for the cornyness, production values, SFX but the theme was eternal. What began as an Ode to (the up and coming) Feminazism in America, just as it was a bit later with the Masons, was killed off by a simple “flaw” … male-female attraction in a wholesome way … sheer goodness stopped the dastardly plan in its tracks, through two minor characters. That was nice.
Then last night, I was surprised to see a well disguised Mason episode which went nearly three hours … whaa? When I looked, it was not one of my faves by any stretch (first of two) but I rewatched and it was better than it had seemed last time, again with eternally wholesome themes, plus Steve would like the military loyalty to mateship angle, plus the villain was an ignoble black, balanced by a noble black. But there was a nice, current day countertheme that nobility gets you clobbered today. 🤔
Well ok … it warrnt arf bad. For today? Hmmm think perhaps. Oh and there were two episodes, the other WW2, which I’ll not review … actually, no need to review the first either, just post it thus afternoon.

Having said all that, Donny is susceptible to any valid suggestion that revenue through a lobby is going to make his bottom line, the balance of payments, look better. “Valid” includes Big Pharma, in money terms. He also has this Trumpcoin, alt-currency thing going for when it all crashes, which it must under the current swamp.
The upside is that other countries start to see fiscal responsibility as a vote winner, e.g. Chile, and thus the Von Leyens and Ruttes must inevitably go down. Elon is the premier news source but he loves AI and Indians, however not the deathcult … so many pundits now emboldened to say it.
We here in Stasiland must still be careful to report events primarily, with some asides. If we appear to be Crusading, we get chopped … it’s very simple in the UK. Good things might be coming but the stasi are still hanging aroubd, prisons waiting. Our chaps need to bear it in mind. We are still a voice for now.
The counter-point was made that in fact Donny is well aware of who’s not shaping up and that leads to two paths … one that he has a coming plan with “truckloads” of moves coming up … t’other is that, essentially, he’s one of em at heart … a NY liberal.
