Bondi: when I lived in Oz I used to tell people that if they insisted on large scale immigration they would have to be selective, not just at the individual level but at the ethnic/racial/religious level.
As an example I cited the era when they allowed both Serb and Croat immigrants. It led to lots of trouble as any non-fool would have foreseen.
So if you already have a sizeable Jewish population do not let Moslems immigrate. If you have lots of Greeks don’t accept Turks. And so on.
