The efficacy of prayer once all other options are exhausted

Of course it should not be so but humans are humans … three wise monkeys. Tom Paine has an interesting piece just now … some of us know Tom from the early 2000s and earlier.

There’s a prayer meet around 1400 near N10 and Whitehall, organised by TR but led by a pastor whose name escapes me … I pray it goes well. Ditto with No to Digital ID at 1300 in another part of town … I’ll try to find the venue.

There’s a chap downunder, in Hobart, we called Amfortas and he’s in a bad way … same vintage as DAD but from what I can gather, DAD’s holding up for now, ditto here and Steve’s being stoical as a para would be. IYE and Toodles and Cuddles seem ok, Isilme is run off her feet, as with Reader Bob, Chuckles and haiku I think are in heaven, one hopes … of Andy and Dearieme, AKH, I know some, MMutR, Microdave, Penseivat, Mark from Mayenne, , pete, Torquaymada … who’ve I’ve missed? Redacted?

Then Ripper and Foggy. Foggy is in brolls, Lord Somber, Scrobs, obviously our Julia in York this weekend. My exgf seems well in her photo, there are two ladies I must find out about.

Today in London, it looks to me that it’s stage one, from a political point of view … reconquista of the underpinnings of the west. The deeper side of it from John 3:16 is something else again. I’m no evangelical … I have eyes, I don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows … I can see, minus blinkers. Each adult person must take care of his/her own course, which involves other people, whether we see ourselves as rocks, islands, strong sigmas … or not.

For those willing to, please put in some prayers this weekend for not only those mentioned above but for those still strong enough to carry a load. Those under the hammer can never reward our prayers and nor should they. Just do it, ok?
