Tuesday [11 till close of play]

(1611) Almost evening, folks, raining anyway.

19. And now something far more serious

18. Trump calls off the Putin meeting

There are two things here imho with the Donald. Firstly, he truly believes in this art of the deal thing but that does not work with someone in a winning position. Secondly, Putin truly is a hardnut … he has to be, with Medvedev and Lavrov right there … they are the mood of the country, which Vlad is trying to keep statesmanlike. There is a third … if Putin is removed, all out war ensues.

17. This does make social media worthwhile

That’s nice. This is the lady who resigned from the rape gang commission, followed by two others (their letters were posted here earlier). The soc-med support was pretty overwhelming, plus she saw Jess Phillips savaged in parlmt, causing the callous bint to lose her rag and the soc-med reaction to that from all quarters was relentless.

It still does not change the whitewash but to get direct support like that from ordinary people means a lot to all those girls … that Sep 13 rally was also great for showing the depth of feeling across the country.

12. Aberfan was a year later than The Byrds’ song

… October 21st, 1966, but the mood for the Welsh miners and communities was in keeping. As long as we bear that in mind … that the song is not specifically about the Aberfan disaster … here goes:

Two films in the queue right now. With this first, below, were they thinking, “Uh huh, SF fog, bridge, Nina Foch … I know … we’ll call it Escape in the Fog?”

Review:

“Escape in the Fog is an intriguing 1945 B movie directed by Budd Boetticher and starring Nina Foch and Otto Kruger.

Foch is a nurse, Eileen Carr, honorably discharged from the service after a something akin to a nervous breakdown. She has a nightmare where she witnesses a man being attacked on the Golden Gate Bridge.

Once awake, she meets the actual victim in her dream, Barry Malcolm (William Wright) who is staying in the same place. There’s an immediate attraction, and he offers to take her to San Francisco with him.

Once there, Malcolm, a special agent, gets orders from his boss, Paul Devon (Kruger) to go to Hong Kong to deliver a package to the Chinese underground. Devon’s house has been bugged by the Axis, and they follow Malcolm to get the package.

When it’s revealed that the people who picked up Malcolm were not sent by Devon, Eileen realizes her dream is about to come true, and she rushes to the Golden Gate Bridge. The rest of the story takes place from there.

This is a pretty preposterous tale, but entertaining nonetheless, with a strong performance by the lovely Foch. Baby boomers like myself remember her as an older woman and a constant television presence. Here she’s young, and she and Kruger do an excellent job of holding this film together.

If you can overcome the plot holes, you’ll enjoy this one.”

My take:

If Nina wishes to go gallivanting around a bridge in the fog, then the least I can do is be with her, film it and try to prevent her falling off. Incidentally, it’s pronounced “fosh”, whatever your predilection for the lady may have been.

Tuesday [7 to 10]

(1204) All right, here we go again. Quick look at the prepared stories and they’re dominated by grooming gang things … it’s swamping X for a start, so tomorrow should see it continue. I’m thinking this is not a bad thing … maybe becomes tiring for us here but look at it from the commission perspective … harder for them to ignore the clamour. Maybe.

Tuesday [6]

The Virginia Giuffre memoir comes out tomorrow

I saw a clip by a girl who was a bit strange, heavily into the candles and being hydrated, cross on a bookshelf behind her, she was saying something huge was going to happen on October 22nd. Uh huh.

Looking at that today, just wondering if it might relate to this memoir. Let’s open with Channel 4, UK, which I never thought I ever would … there ya go:

There are some massive complications with girls and part of it is observers zeroing in on one aspect only. For example, someone said she (VG) was hardly underage, was in it for the money, knew what she was doing. Another pointed out that she was under duress but also had the feelings a female does, all mixed in together.

Another pointed out that VG was abused as a child (seems to be verified). She did not just decide let’s go be a boat girl or island girl. Plus at 14, she was just that … 14.

Then we get that post at the old N.O. called Cry Rape, which showed a clip of a cab driver’s footage of four party girls piling into his cab and the result was a rape charge, once he insisted they pay the fare at the end. The footage told a different story, he was released and nothing whatever happened to them.

There are obnoxious old male bores on TV, esp. in sport, who … er … are actually innocent … and then what seem fine younger men and they are guilty. Social services and plod say these girls are “young whores”. Porn, e.g. Only Fans, features “young whores”. Was that the result of her peers saying there’s great money in simps watching or is it much nastier … trafficking?

It’s not uncomplicated with girls but there are certain rules … stay away from jailbait … unlike this one:

5. While we’re on long letters

… here’s one from Rupert on university v apprenticeships:

As an ex professor who also, at one time, went to trade school for screenprinting and printing in general, plus had a screenprinting business in a corner of a factory with two girls as assistants, I can only support Rupert in this. The nice thing is that in the trade school, there’s less Woke indoctrination beyond the usual Big Union scam.

a) Theft at Louvre: “This odious event appears to be a dire sign: that of the slow dismemberment of France’s memory”, says Louis de Bourbon, duc d’Anjou, claimant of the throne of France. “Yesterday’s theft at the Louvre is neither a political crisis, nor an economic, nor social crisis. It is a moral crisis.”

b) Press release from Yann Baly, President of Chrétienté-Solidarité…. From children murdered by the new barbarians to jewels stolen from the Louvre, the state no longer protects anything in France. Worse! Through its endemic lethargy and culpable inaction, it has become a danger to honest people.

c) 600,000 phones are stolen each year in France from phone shops or on public roads. Every month, thousands of devices are sent to the Maghreb (North Africa).

d) In France only Minors (or those immigrants who claim to be Minors) receive accommodation. Yvelines (78): the construction of several centers for foreign minors in the department provokes the anger of residents and elected officials.
