7. “I’m an AG … I’m an AG”

… has now done the rounds of the west, that is … it’s gone viral, which did cause one commenter to write, tongue in cheek:

“As a former toddler myself, I can feel sympathy (for her).”

Ha ha. What the heck am I blathering about, for those still not au fait? Toodles sends:

The image … and of course the whole clip … are iconic, not unlike all those heads of govt lined up on seats outside headmaster Donny’s office … or those of Sydney Sweeney … or the Butler assassination attempt … or Hancock’s smirk when pretending to cry over the deathjab and lockdown … or Strzok’s grin … and so it goes on … those men raising that flag on that hill … or D Day … it goes on.

This unfortunate image above deserves a whole page written on it alone. Let’s get down to why. Toodles’s Cuddles advises that an assistant AG (attorney general) is usually a wannabee, maybe these days of a certain political affiliation but let’s not tar all … usually ambitious, usually ends up in the govt sector, is on around $113,000 a year.

And in this case, is full of herself, with her sycophantic wing-girl beside her. Long story short … both were drunk or on something, which tends to make many a woman either incapable (you know the term Mickey Finn perhaps or roofie) or obnoxious, standing on her importance in Society … or both. In this case, belligerent, speaking down to officers as an AG, which she is not, plus her wing-girl even more obnoxious.

Now, opinion is divided on the treatment meted out to her and note what the wing-girl says when the officer lays a hand on her bare shoulder … well ok, shall we let that one go and look at the effect of the viral vid on the west, plus incidentally on Milsum males?

Yes … full-on confirmation bias … particularly as “women in power” has become a hot topic westwide, plus Dunning-Kruger, plus Hultgreen-Curie, plus Peter Principle … in short, this “I’m an AG” has done the cause of pushy leftist women in the west no good whatever.

Which causes me, for example, to rush in and defend the Toodleses, the Julias, the Karolines, the Judge Jeanettes … who are pretty darned good, with added female edge, with ego extracted. Key point … ego extracted. Which brings in males, amongst whom the term ego is not unknown. Boys?

Which in turn makes us evaluate Rachel from Accounts, Jess Phillips, green dress Rayner, Heels-Up Cackles and her word salads … it goes on and on. And they, in turn, point to Dan Quayle, Gordon Brown and so it goes.

Where have we got to after all that? Well, my thought is that most men in power and virtually all women are entirely the wrong people to be in any sort of power over others, and yet there is the norm, n’est-ce-pas?

Re. The dairy farmer’s plight. Does anyone know the Bovaer situation now? It has all gone quiet.

I changed to organic dairy products, and looking at the far greater amount of such products now on supermarket shelves so did a great many others. This must have been a setback for non organic dairy farmers, who were already being paid a minimum for their produce.

… inbetween being a trad lady in so many ways … she forms an opinion after honing sources, she’s always run into opposition from those not like that … she recognised long ago that I’d at least listen. It’s one thing forming a working hypothesis to be going on with … it’s another being open to honing that view in the light of further “authentic” data sources.

That is the whole question, innit? What is authentic, what is not? Unherdable folk are grabbling with this issue every single day, particularly as Them pile more and more and more on.

Having lived there, it’s far more trad than the rest of the west, with the American exception of the bible belt and rural areas. The orthodox church is “re-embraced”, there is far more ground level belief than the average brainwashed western firstworlder could imagine … it’s no accident that Putin embraced the patriarchs in various places.

Putin also recognises that his people have a certain attitude against falling back under communism of the most malignant kind … the kind we see in Fink-Gates-Starmer-Obama. It’s far more MRGA.

2. Even a close friendship is not unlike a marriage

This, imho, can only hold true if you’ve been married or have had a life partner at some stage. Long time marrieds have their own way of getting to decisions … close friends though, esp. both sigma, have a much more difficult job as each has entirely different red lines which the other can no way understand.

I have a situation coming up where I’m going to have to say no … will the other insist, applying max pressure, relations now damaged, or will the other not be unreasonable? Who knows? Either way, neither will back off, both mavericks. And the longer it goes on, the more implacable they become.

On the issue of tr***ies being in the wrong bathroom, how far does that apply, conversely, to the usual. I’ve said for a long time that I don’t particularly mind females (real ones) being in my bathroom, but that’s presupposing a Sydney Sweeney or similar … what if it’s a well fed, purple headed people eater? And it’s not always clear … they can be butch.

The obvious solution is a blanket rule but businesses know it’s fraught … freaky people are the most pushy and fighty imho, litigious. It’s socially destructive, this … which is why globopsycho pushed it in the first place … Tavistock etc. Rupert had something to say in general about reversing such things.

1940 Review:

Gaslight (1940) In 1944, MGM released a movie about a thief who slowly tries to drive his wife insane in order to find out the location of some jewels. The movie was called Gaslight, and it starred Charles Boyer and Ingrid Bergman. But the movie wasn’t an MGM original by any means; its antecedent was a much-lesser-known 1940 British film by the same name. (Apparently, when MGM bought the rights to the story, based on a play by Patrick Hamilton, the studio attempted to destroy all existing prints of the earlier version, but they weren’t successful.)

In the opening scene, an old woman is strangled to death, and her killer ransacks her apartment in search of… well, something. His search is apparently fruitless. Years later, Paul Mallen (Anton Walbrook), a debonair society lord in London, moves with his wife Bella (Diana Wynyard) to the posh Pimlico Square, directly below the apartment of the murdered. Mrs. Mallen is quickly the talk of the neighborhood – she’s a little off, they say. Something’s not quite right with her. And those wags are right; Bella is constantly accused by her husband of stealing things from him, although she has no recollection of the events.

Mallen uses trick after psychological trick against his wife, although it’s unclear to the audience what his motives are. Is he just playing with her? Does he merely delight in her anguish? He even deliberately keeps her from her cousin, a man who’d stood against their marriage at the wedding ceremony. What’s Mallen’s angle? Unlike its remake, this earlier version is delightfully understated – and bereft of stars whose names would be recognizable in the United States. It’s remarkably well lit, too, typical for movies of the period. But where it draws most of its strength is from the two leads. Walbrook, who by that time had been in motion pictures for 25 years, is perfect as the sly, debonair, and viciously evil Mallen; Wynyard exudes vulnerability and panic; her Bella is terrified that she might be quite sincerely insane, vacillating from dignified serenity to sheer panic.

This movie is highly recommended to fans of noir film, particularly those who’ve seen the more-famous 1944 Hollywood version.

1944 Review:

“The first scene establishes the dreary tone of the film. It is nighttime in London and a murder goes unsolved. The magnificent Ingrid Bergman portrays Paula, the niece of the deceased woman. After living ten years trying to forget the past, Paula returns to her house in London at the suggestion of her new husband, Gregory (Charles Boyer). “I’ve found peace in loving you,” Paula says and decides with the help of her husband, she is ready to face the past. Fear is an essential element in the story. It seems the police cannot find a motive for the murder but when a new young assistant comes to Scotland Yard, he sees something that others did not notice or would not pursue. The murderer remains at large and his next potential victim has returned to the very house where the first murder was committed.

The cast’s flawless talent makes the film absolutely unforgettable. Charles Boyer is exceedingly ominous as Paula’s obsessive husband. As the high-strung wife, Ingrid Bergman gives an outstanding performance. She is startling and brilliant. Brian Cameron, played by Joseph Cotton, makes his appearance later in the film but is wonderful nonetheless. Watch for the emphasis on foreshadowing and the beautiful lighting achieved in Gaslight, as well as the particular attention to the many details that make it spectacular. George Cukor’s fantastic direction of this intriguing and suspicious tale will keep you on the edge of your seat.”

 

Every evening recently we have been having ‘fruit salad’ and cream – some plums, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries. Sadly we missed most of the blackberries because of visiting family and the work we’ve been involved in.

Then there is the matter of the wasps….

We have a patio in the front garden and were sitting having a nice drink and enjoying the good weather. Beloved kept noticing the wasps and realised they were going into a crack under the sill of our bay window!!! Now, I had previously noticed (for some time, actually) strange goings on behind the panelling of the bay window. 

As I sat in the living room of an evening, I would occasionally hear a scratching sound. I thought it was mice. Beloved assured me it was not. We previously had mice and managed to get rid of them, but they couldn’t get behind the panelling in the living room as it’s hard for them to chew through stone, and any holes dug down deep would go into the basement, not behind the living room panelling.

Also at night I would sometimes hear a purring noise. That definitely wasn’t a mouse – it sounded much bigger. I thought perhaps it was next door’s cat, but reasoned that I wouldn’t hear it that loudly through a stone wall.

Now it all makes sense. If it is wasps, all beating their little wings for a while, then that would explain it. So Beloved bought wasp-death powder and liberally sprinkled it at the entrance to their nest (and, annoyingly, on my tomato plants – but special circumstances warrant forgiveness in this instance). The wasps are still around and seem to be taking their time to die. But I haven’t heard any ‘purring’ in the past two days.

Once they seem to be dead, Beloved will block up the hole in case another lot wants to take up residence.
