(1015) Morning all. Not bad out there. Cunning plan is to run below what would have been the OoL post, plus an added graphic, there’s one more from Toodles (maybe tomorrow morn … involves a golf buggy), there are other shorts too, a bit of other politics as well. (1052)

8. Lord Toby can eff off with his paywall

7. That conversation with prm and Steve
Going to put it over at UHCWP, as it’s a long, combined, then going to run it on X … think it needs to be seen.
6. The Cross of St George
First up … I’ve said a few times that the CofStG is my rallying flag. At the same time, I refuse to put people down who have fought for the Union flag … it includes our Forces, our allies, e.g. the gurkhas, the Poles.
Someone just ran the Union flag at X, plus three home country flags. Errr … how about Northern Ireland or even Kernow? The Union does help with that. However, the CofStG is universal too … yes, England adopted it:

Yep, that Warsi can just eff off as far as many of us are concerned. But why are we also adopting the poem-song Jerusalem? Never mind, this is a strange land.
And if we look more carefully at the CofStG, there are Crusader overtones, Christendom, the West. When I was in Sicily, they fiercely used the CofStG too … why not, say I.

In one way, it’s a bit difficult the way the CofStG has become just England … also used by Templars, the Rosy Cross, all the baddies. Gets complicated.
But it’s such an easy rallying design, the white with the red cross on it. Now Elon has even got behind it. Farage won’t though … it’s too Rupert, too TR, too “that lot” or us. But MAGA understand the colour scheme. Hmmmmm, thinking about all this. 🤔
6. The Cross of St George – as you enter the road where I live there are three houses with flagpoles on which the flag of England is flying. One of them is 30ft up. In reply to Baroness Warsi these are the countries, and regions, where St. George is recognized as the patron saint:
Georgia
Greece
Lithuania
Palestine
Portugal
Russia
Ethiopia
England
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bulgaria
Ukraine
Malta
Spain (Catalonia and Aragon)
10. Farage’s switch in tactics – he’s just finished his Oxford speech on deportations – broadcast live on GB News. Yes he’s been brought to this, and he did mention the defections from his party last year. If he succeeds with half of it’ll be revolutionary. However he has to get elected first and there’s the rub.
