(0820) Morning all, just awoke, no idea of the weather, seems bright. A good sleep is a wondrous thing … Toodles wrote that I seemed peeved … I’m thinking “terse” might be the word, which one is with a splitting headache, which fortunately is not around now. Ok, into the fray! (0908)

She’s a good lass, doing the female equivalent of a Dad joke a day, plus she has a regular chap who follows her, a fellow wit, so all is well in this Wodehouse world. However, I just had to blight it:

Thinking maybe I’d gone too far, a reply appeared, which is sad that it must be so now in Britain … but even those who lighten our lives do see:

At least, according to Sammy Woodhouse, who’s a bit like Donny’s Laura.

2. Isn’t it about time that one of the numpties in government banned the use of face coverings, unless a medical necessity? The sight of the ‘peaceful’ protesters, all masked up to to hide their identities, is all too common these days. Then compare them to the ‘thuggish, far right’ Mums, Dads, and grandparents, with not a mask in sight, as they voice their messages to government to protect their women and children, something which this government appears to have no intention of doing.
On the recent Armed Forces Day, whilst proudly supporting an RBL stand, told a masked Palestine supporter that I refused to debate with someone so unsure of their political position that they felt it necessary to hide their face to avoid the public shame. Of course, I then became a Nazi. For all I know, this numpty may live on the same street as me, but as his identity was hidden by a mask, I have no idea. Banning all facial coverings would be one step in the right direction, but is anyone listening? I don’t think so.
……
JH: I’ve been tempted to rip their bleeding face coverings off them, seeing their faces and telling em to put them back on again … purrlease!
