“What an excellent filum! I have (somewhere) a VHS tape of “The Last African Flying Boat” which followed an attempt at recreating the old Imperial Airways routes, using a Consolidated PBY-5 Catalina. Whilst a more modern design than the aircraft shown here, its cruising speed wasn’t that much faster, and the view out must have been wonderful on a good day – not so in bad weather, which none of these machines could climb above.”

It’s true, that … that effect … and to my mind, it’s horrible, as that’s precisely what people have done through the ages … anonymity in the crowd, watching the victim abused, nobody stepping in. It’s an effect much beloved by the psychos both above and imported.

Live just now and The Donald is furious with Israel and Iran – but mostly with Netanyahu for breaking the ceasefire. He was about to board Marine One for Andrews AFB when he said to reporters “they’ve been fighting so hard for so long they don’t know what the f*ck they’re doing”.
He’ll be on the phone to Bibi as he journeys to the Netherlands and the expletives will no doubt continue to flow. He’s been stabbed in back once too often and the IDF need to turn those jets around and return to base.
Newsflash: Trump on Airforce One, on the phone to Netanyahu and he’s stopped the bombing sortie – they’ll do a fly-by and just waves their wings, apparently, and return to base forthwith.

The exciting tale of the AWOL post
a) Feb 2023. Around 200 people protested the presence of a camp in the woods bordering the town. They drove away the illegally settled families before entering in large numbers and beginning to destroy makeshift shacks themselves.

Dominique Kudla, the independent mayor of Villeron, and five of his constituents were tried this Monday before the Pontoise Criminal Court. They had driven away Roma families and destroyed their shacks in February 2023.
All were acquitted by the court.
