Tuesday [1 to 4]
(0627) Morning all … rain, mist and low-lying Gates cloud. First half of the blogging day will be broken up a bit I’m afraid, till about 1330 … I need to go out a few times. (0808)
4. Andy and Gorgeous George
Couldna believe yesterday Andy posting GG but hey … makes the world turn, eh? ☺️ However, today here’s me also doing it:

**Were it one of us saying it, I’d smile. As it’s Trump or Wiles or whoever … it’s at least worth exploring. However, I noticed Steve has slipped in the anon Liberty Beacon again by the back door today, so pinch of salt. Ah, finally some attribution … poor journalism not to have it upfront:
2. DAD at 1064
a) General relief in Brussels after the unexpected victory of Nicușor Dan in Romania, against George Simion, his opponent who had led the first round by a wide margin.
b) Macron on “Crusade Against the J€w1sh State”. Macron declared that the recognition of a P@l€stinian state was “not simply a moral duty, but a political requirement.”

1. Over at OoL
https://orphansofliberty.blogspot.com/2025/06/in-hands-of-maniacs-how-did-it-happen.html
This is my mainpost today … at least this morning anyway … and is a reaction to effing Starmer’s deluded “war footing”.
Monday [20 onwards]
(1558) Nearly evening all.
25. DAD at 1024 on rent-boy-gate
“A fourth man has been arrested by police investigating fires at two properties and a car linked to (Sir War Footing).”
24. Russia

23. Jim Ferguson is better known, formerly
… for economic analysis but in this has joined those of us watching the madness:
Unconfirmed but mounting reports indicate Oreshnik and Russia’s strategic nuclear arsenal have been placed on high readiness following Ukrainian strikes and Russian Iskander missile retaliation.
Sources suggest: Strategic silos and mobile units are being activated. Command posts in Oreshnik—linked to Russia’s nuclear response chain—are now on elevated status. Satellite data hints at unusual military activity near known warhead transport routes.
This isn’t just saber-rattling. It’s the resurrection of Cold War brinkmanship, triggered by escalating direct conflict between NATO-aligned Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
Analysts warn: “This level of readiness hasn’t been seen since the Cuban Missile Crisis.”
We are entering uncharted territory. Global leaders are on edge. The line between conventional war and something far worse is paper-thin.
22. Constantinople

21. Steve on the Polish result
Polish election – the CPAC Conference was in Poland last week and who knows, may be it helped..
20. IYE at 1064

Try these
Match the quote to the utterer:
1. I like work, it fascinates me; I can sit and look at it for hours …
2. There are two golden rules for am orchestra … start together and finish together …
3. Beneath the rule of men entirely great … the pen is mightier than the sword.
4. We all know that politicians are wedded to the truth, but sometimes …
5. Abstinence is as easy to me as temperance is difficult.
a. Samuel Johnson, some memoirs 1834; b. Edward Bulwer-Lytton, 1838; c. Jerome K Jerome, 1889; d. Thomas Beecham, in 1978 bio; e. Saki, 1912
Ladies at lunchtime
Right, well I played this jazz song on Sunday and the pictures were of Mack Sennett comedies of the day … explored and found that he gathered bathing beauties in “risque” costumes. Risque eh? Oh, our boys will love those.
Then I did my calculations … let’s say that those lasses were maybe 23 on average … and Sennet ran those comedies from 1915 to 1928 … then I’m thinking they’d have been born between 1892 and 1905 … and to take the median there, that puts the birthyear at around 1899.
So you chaps are looking at ladies born 1899. Which makes them 126 years old today. Just thought I’d mention it. ☺️

Monday [15 to 19]
(1003) Right, here’s the cunning plan, cavemen and women … two loads of washing are on … there’s a scheduled quiz and it took some writing … plus there’s an item about Mack Sennett which will fill the ladies at lunchtime spot. Plus IYE has a special item on ladies in France. Film? Not yet but I’ll find something. Maybe. (1031)
19. Moosh corner
… and three lovely lasses:

18. Whatever happened to her?

17. Good thing too

16. Quite right too

15. Polish election

Monday [11 to 14]
(0925) Time starting to fly. Hot out there. (0948)
14. Tale of Tulsi
Now look, Tulsi is one tough chick, as is Kristi, both know the score but even so … they’re both girls when it comes down to it and like Pammy … being coiffed, threatening but not actually doing … that’s the gals’ way.
Hence the “do you agree” … from a govt dept head?

13. Tale of two traitors

12. IYE mentioned that daughter dear has started blogging
And now a new, explanatory one:
11. Actually … they were

A Jago double
Yes, I just know you’ve been pining for trains and trams:
Monday [6 to 10]
(0418) Morning all. Going to try for the second sleep after this post. DAD’s will be after the second sleep. (0427) Second attempt to complete this post. (0705)
10. I’m hoping IYE can forgive me not running TRG openly this time
… only as a url … love Grifty but the target subject’s mush I do not wish to confront over breakfast … sparing readers as well.

Connected is this other url by Woke Watch, shown in graphic form by this sshot:

… in which, of course, Woke Watch also savages this lot in the pic above. The Christian in me (somewhere in there, hang on a minute while I go searching) feels sorry for Megzilla the Yacht Gal … is she in fact ultra MK and controlled, did she have a bad childhood or test tube? Prayers that she can find some peace and compassion … as we might too of course.
9. DAD at 1063
a) PSG-Inter Milan [Saturday night/Sunday morning result]: 5 goals to 0, 2 dead, 1 police in a coma, 563 arrests [491 at Paris].
b) Riots, looting, violence, car fires, Dax, Paris, Grenoble, Coutances, Aleçon, Vitre, Angers, etc, etc.
c) More riots.
8. Andy in response to Steve concerning the invasion
“1200 in one day. Assume a minimum of £1k each on their day of arrival, processing, feeding, accomodating, medical needs, clothing. That’s a million on day one. Remind me about a black hole in our national accounts.”
7. TDS (url in Brolls)
“Ed Miliband is hatching a plan to shift £4.8 billion in green levies from electricity to gas bills — a move that would push up the average gas bill by £120 a year to subsidise heat pumps. The Telegraph has the details.”

5. Housekeeping
At UHC-WP, there is a sidebar entry I’ve been slow-building, on “Reader recollections”. Though piecemeal and occasional, it does eventually add up to a compendium and is ongoing.
There are certain items you will not see in there … short pieces on a topic or comment on a regular post … politics in general … they’re meant to be “recollections” as it says.
4. Redacted
Maybe read in conjunction with the Roobeedoo item from yesterday:
3. IYE
“[The] Ukraine launches massive drone strike on air bases deep inside Russia”
https://www.disclose.tv/id/3zyx79ltrq/
“…..Controversy arose as Axios reported [the] Ukraine “did notify” the Trump administration, but a typo meant it should read “did not notify,” aligning with a U.S. official’s statement to reporters that the administration was unaware, matching official reports……”
2. Vox on the drone strike
It appears eight planes were confirmed damaged or destroyed.
5 Tu-95MS bombers, 2 Tu-22M3 bombers, 1 An-12 military transport aircraft.
Which is two more than Russia has lost in all of 2025, bringing the total to 14. To put this into perspective, in 2022, Russia lost 104 planes.
1. An item at Foggy’s
… which I’ve been meaning to post and everything keeps rushing past. It’s about Yolla:
“Anyhoo, for those interested, with the death of Skype, we’ve settled – from the large number of options – for Yolla. So far so very good and my little nest of vipers is well pleased with it. No contact or sound in or out problems at all. To date. Interestingly, after a little research, and I do mean a little, I discovered it looks suspiciously like a nice option to have on any phone.”
My reason for Skype largely dried up, and with it, my contacts … sad but that’s where we are.
