Just FYI for those of us with an anti-authoritarian, libertarian outlook … today is the 61st anniversary of the first broadcast of Radio Caroline from the North Sea.
Andy: “It was never an illegal broadcaster but after a while the UK government made it illegal to listen to it. That just added to the allure. Gosh, weren’t we brave in those days.”

What to do with anomalies which don’t seem to fit our own construction, our own narrative?
It would have been nice to have Nigel storming to govt but first … anomalies appeared … many managed to set them aside, e.g. Kipper days, TBP … but then how Rupert was handled really did hit home with many, inc. me.
As a person with no faith in Beloved Leaders (human), I was always puzzled that DTJ did not move hell and high water to get the J6ers out, after outrageous process, did not keep up the pressure, with the entire right.
There were quite a few anomalies, strange appointments, we were warning about such people but it was as if he never read social media platforms, no one close to him did either. There was McCarthy, there’s Johnson now … quite puzzling.
DTJ wanted Greenland … ok, check, made sense for the US. The failure of Uke peace talks … wwweeellllll, par for the course, we’ve covered that. The behaviour of Senate and House? A known known.
But one or two sit uneasily. The buying of both ends of the Panama canal by the U.S. in itself was fine … made sense. But it was not the US who bought it, was it? It was Blackrock’s Fink.
And then the latest … the Chinese have not lost it at all … Blackrock was told no.
We’re used to making excuses … well he’s nearly 80 … but all the same, it’s not a good look. If DTJ is in thrall to Nethan the Yahoo and that powerful bunch … why and how? Javanka? Then there are all the things written at nourishing and Unherdables.
In short, how many anomalies do we allow before starting the disgruntled sounds?
“The little rustic cottage is in SiL’s back yard. She has five acres out in a select area of Montgomery County. We both like being Coastal Plains Girls. We do not care much for Bham — it is pretty up there, or used to be but still living there would be awful for us — lots of twists and turns and the mountain is covered in houses and flats and cars. [I’m going to look for that pic of violets … Isilme posted the English version.]” *

10. Spiritual portals
Oh yes, that dark side loves speaking of cleansing, healing, wellness, “manifesting abundance” and other gobbledegook … just like globopsycho, its offshoot, it keeps reinventing, growing new hydra heads.
Interestingly to me, my knowledge of it did not come from the Christian side at all but from the dark denizens I knew and still know … the black joke is that all the proof of portals you need comes out of their own writings and speaking, actions too. When Christians speak of it, it’s not wrong but it’s through the filter of that understanding.
The advice I was given quite a few times … by that dark side … was don’t go near it in any way, shape or form, do not dabble in that which you not understand the power of.
9. This is about motherhood v politics
Anna Paulina stormed out of the Freedom Caucus because they would not allow her proxy vote … she’s a proper mother, having had her baby not long ago and wanting to get the first year in near the baby. Cynthia and other career women say that’s not good enough for the country.
And it’s not either … they lost a crucial vote and there’s A-P’s bind … to be a good mother, which all her indtincts tell her to … or for the country to be her family … she believed she could do both, she bought the feminist lie. Worse, Matt Gaetz had told her they would cover … but Gaetz is not there now.
So, what should A-P do? The House is already close to being lost, what with the Wisconsin loss, which means a district redistribution and the House going to satan’s little helper Jeffreys.
Where the hell is the GOP in all this? Doing absolutely nothing, wanting DTJ stymied at all costs.
And the voters in those districts will vote them right back into power again or stay at home.
8. Eve of destruction?
In Barry McGuire’s 1965 song Eve of Destruction, one line goes: “Handful of senators don’t pass legislation”. Exactly. Same in 2025. Same old same old. Plus the House. The judiciary also blocks and stymies. Another line says: “Yeah, my blood’s so mad, feels like coagulatin'”.

3. A fourth glimpse is into the M25 Conservative mind
I oft think of “no parlmt can bind another” in the light of the ridiculous Chagos saga. Plus, I’d mention AKH if you need the Philosophical Perspective, plus the scourging of the Climate Hoax. Plus our French contingent for things French, with their other strengths on top of that.
2. Second and third glimpses into two worlds
Remember, to get the whole thing, go over to Churchmouse.
CM gives insight into the liturgical year of the Church, in this case, the Calvinist side … I also get the Roman side from various people, esp. on the Continent … plus Orthodoxy from Kassandra.
For example, she says that the church started as basically one orthodoxy, with all sorts of heresies appearing over time, e.g. Gnosticism, Arianism and so on, hence the need for Councils, the heads felt. Dominated by the Bishop of Rome, she says, that statement about the One Holy and Apostolic Church is not to be hijacked by Rome and its sun heresies etc. … the Orthodox was preserved through the East, i.e. Constantinople.
The Roman cult, called Roman Catholicism, only really kicked off at the time of the Schism, she says. I’m still not well enough versed in all that, plus I’m more biblical in source than through denominational interpretation but, being no expert, methought it best to do what I know … history and politics.
CM gives insight into the liturgical year though and is a good source.
DM’s reply does not seem to the CM point, out of context as it reached me, but in itself is a glimpse of expat Scottish thinking … we might then go to Samuel Johnson for his thoughts on Scots. Bear in mind that up there is also the Scottish Rite, an altogether nastier, Templar source … plus do not forget Roslyn.
