#8: the chump who wrote that seems to think that it’s the flatness of the map that distorts areas. Whereas it ain’t; what matters is which projection you use. If you want bearings represented accurately you use Mercator; if areas an authalic projection. Wokeypedia lists 26 of them – you’re spoilt for choice.
