“It is a mistake to be celebrating the downfall of Assad. We should take the situation as it is. What comes next could be much worse for America. Must remain vigilant.”

……

JH (1713): Absolutely … all Christians need to pray for the Syrian Christian enclave.

11. Advertisers, middleman, us

https://akhaart.blogspot.com/2024/12/the-ad-problem.html

I watched a few of his, esp. on Ggl crumbling … the advertisers viewpoint … the middlemen and women can take care of themselves … then there are us.

The two behaviours to which I strongly object are not that there even are ads but:

  • They’re just plain awful in content … truly bad;
  • There is no natural warning … even in a song, suddenly it’s an ad.

With the latter, my immediate reaction is to vow never to use/buy that product/service … trouble is … it includes main services I regularly use. I do see it all crashing as people just become fed up to the back teeth wi’it all.

Sunday [9 and 10]

10. The Advent and Christmas carol list

There’s a compromise on this list in that certain versions of certain carols I scoured youtube, trying dozens of versions … this was some years back, settling on particular versions, e.g. Stille Nacht in that square, plus Juan Diego Flores with Cantique Noel … The Little Drummer Boy must be that version, Joy to the World on the 25th, those Bulgarian chn etc.

Many carols … the version is really up to anyone … what you consider best. Once settled though, I’d like to retain that version every year, maybe to be consistent, to give us some concept of eternity, nothing changing. I’ve tried to do similar with Unherdables formatting … loathe to make wholesale changes, as we have enough of those from globo-psycho … new world order and all that.

So I see it as a mix of old, eternal, unchangeable … plus some tweaking here and there, esp. at your behest … eyes and ears ever open to your suggestions. Certain carols are not going to be run … Jingle Bells, Rudolph, I saw Santa kissing Mommy … at least not until the week following Christmas Day. Idea was to start with light of tone, British Isles theme, gradually more serious up until Christmas Day … Boxing Day needs to be Stephen … after that … whatever.

But that still leaves gaps in the middle as you’ll see on the scrawled chart below and some of those had carols from DAD, some from other chaps … we need some from “our” gals too, from our Americans.

Can anyone remember that one of Dame Kiri te Kanawa, something with saeculorum in it?

9. Brown Boots

… my Ole Da would have liked this too:

Sunday [5 to 8]

(0645) Morning all, not much to report, except that the storm is still going … quite weird for Britain. Time for some brek at this place. (0831)

8. The situation this Sunday morning

Going to run these five screenshots at both OoL and Unherdables as they seem to encapsulate the situations.

Reform

There’s no hard and fast truth on why different players are acting seemingly strangely … there’s somewhat informed opinion … and opinion being at various stages of uninformed, depending on sources and how far you’ve delved.

My feeling is that Nigel is trying to do the World Statesman thing a la DJT, allowing himself some good ole Reform (and people of Britain) rhetoric, whilst positioning himself as that statesman, hobnobbing with the high and mighty, loved by all except the wrong ’uns.

There’s no doubt that the middling and emerging newly informed masses are more swayed by Nigel vis-a-vis, say, Gove, Badknock, Labour than maybe hardline Rupert … yet for Reform people, Rupert is laying it on the line far better … there’s deep distrust of Tice outside the M25 bubble yet Tice has his contacts inside.

My feeling is that, despite your and my misgivings on the terrible two, they’re still carrying a fair bit of the country, which will count with the non-aligned come elections … if the two factions, Faragists and real reformers, can somehow co-exist long enough to take power … why not?

Syria

To my mind, that one screenshot contains much … look at the political-ethnic-religious leaning of the writer, clearly anti-Assad and the Baathists, plus how relevant is the USA now?  After Jan 20 in the US, I’d say increasingly relevant, which leaves the Shia v Sunni conflict to be evaluated.

Remembering that the Zionist Talmudists plus the jihadis both want Christianity exterminated, it’s not going to be too much fun for slaughtered Christians now in Syria.

6. Syria seems to be the main news just now

5. DAD at 902

(JH: Apologies for my lateness, fell asleep, did not post the frame last night.)

a) When I opened https://www.fdesouche.com/ this morning there were five reports of gun crime; four definitely associated with drugs.
La Grande-Motte, Clerment Ferrand, Nantes, La Courneveue, Marseille.

b) On the sidelines of the deliberations regarding agriculture, the new signs placed at the entrances to towns were invited to the debate.

c) L’archevêque de Paris, Monseigneur Laurent Ulrich, a procédé samedi 7 décembre à la réouverture des portes de la cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, cinq ans après l’incendie qui avait ravagé l’édifice.

d) Father of the year? “Enough with the lies. Protect the children”.

Sunday [1 to 4]

(0559) Was going to screenshoot when this started but the added work in getting it to post was too much … bottom line was it really was 0559, just gone 0600 as I write. Such things amuse minds like mine but the number of times it’s been 58/59 or 28/29 is uncanny. Not that that’s important. (0642)

4. Short collection of current snippets

3. Housekeeping … reviewing rationales

Part of my job at HQ is adjusting rationales here in a DOGE sorta way and one move is to streamline the summaries more … we’re all capable of following signposts, provided the signpost gives enough but does not bog us down in too much detail. DAD’s might be the most extensive but he’s our Senior Member.

Connected to this is my health as admin … in the evening, I’m crashing with very little warning (to myself), esp. in the cold and in ill health (which comes and goes … currently, I’m fine). It’s winter, chaps and chapesses, in this hemisphere, dark early, hibernating time. I’ll do my best.

2. Steve’s four drops, also at 901

Four: (Repeating from HQ) The Globalist Sociopaths Have Not Surrendered, They Have Merely Switched Sides, Zelensky closes Christian churches, Putin closes satanic “churches” … as one pundit said: “Do the math.” AfD are in contention, as are always the Le Pens. More.

Three: Vets endorse Kash, Musk and Ram say They’re Making a “Naughty and Nice List”, Vicious DC Judge Dabney Friedrich Ruins Christmas for J6 Family (there the type go again), more.

Two: Romania, sit-rep on the ground, more.

One: Global food prices, global awakening, much more.

……

JH: Rationale for summaries and my comments next post item 3.
