JH: Here we go again … a test of how to abridge text. With Steve here, IYE and DAD, plus anyone else in comments … the rules must change regarding abridging quotes. For a start, the originals are perma-available by just going there, mine here are just signposting summaries. Then there is the reader who requires succinct summaries, the general idea only … the originals are there to check them against.

The purpose of Wed 1 today was for external quotes moreso than our own droppers. There’ll no doubt be exceptions but in general, maybe it’s now been covered, this abridging biz.
