An ageing dilettante’s jazz selection

It took longer to select today because there were good and flawed versions of each … main criticism, esp. of many versions of the last … was too fast. Hope these are all right.

  1. Yeah, man. That’s it, Daddio. Ain’t dat de truth? Mercy, mercy.

Put otherwise, I enjoyed your selection. Thank you.

How much duller the world would’ve been without those 1920s pioneers and the jolly revivalists later on.

  2. All good for me, I like the Mississippi river boat images in no.1, adds something of the era. From about 2:00 there is a still image of Buster Keaton taken from the silent movie Steamboat Bill, Jr. which is available on YT although I haven’t watched it yet.

I agree, with dearieme, how much duller the world would’ve been without them. And Buster.
